Freedom may be slightly older but we much prefer her. Embarkation and crew are the reasons.

Most cruises from Florida always seem to go to the same ports all the time.
They do. We cruise to cruise now, not for the ports, so not an issue for us. Every once in new ports come along on longer cruises, like the Explorer out of PC.

Oh, make sure the kids get there on the first night.. Or as early as they can! It can be tough to get in with a group that have already palled up
Thanks for the heads up.

Exactly what i was looking for.
Thank you!!!!!!

We are experienced cruisers taking our 12 and 13 year old granddaughters on thier first cruise.
I've searched the forum but really did not find much information. I would love some specific info on what is offered to this age group. Is there anything we need to know to make sure they have a great and safe time?
Thanks for any informaiton/opinion!!!!!

No attack from here either but the difference between us is that I'm looking forward to it with an open mind. Who knows if I'll like it or not. You're not looking forward to it and have already made up your mind you won't like it. That said, there certainly is enough variety out there for everyone. Happy sailing.
Our feelings exactly!

We have seen this too and it is not just kids.

We have freedom booked for this November and next October. We are looking forward to dynamic dining. WooHoo!
-
I know some who book and then change ships several times. I would guess this is a way to limit the changes.
-
Not sure that I would want them in thier own cabin

Thanks for the info. Vision is in our future!

We have never had a problem just walking in for lunch. We love to lunch there. Well worth it

You can still get in with the password: "The dog cruises at midnight."

Oh man! That has been my problem. I did not know the password! Thanks for the info!

Yes, I agree. Make sure and tell them when you order if you do or do not want to use the coupon.

We are very atypical! We prepay gratuities and being D+ we spend very little on alcohol. We probably spend about $100 additional per person and that is for specialty dining.

We have tried Izumi on 4 different ships. We will not book it again.

Loved the positive review. This is the only class that we have not cruised but we do have the Vision booked!
-
Ship size does NOT matter to us. We love them all. The only class we have not tried is the Vision and we have one booked on it now.

We have made long lasting cruise buddies during cocktails in the Diamond Lounge. The balcony discount is nice too.

After you print out the tags, it's also good to cover both sides with clear packing tape before cutting them out. It not only makes them more durable, but water resistant too.
This work great but the CC luggage tag pocket thingys work really great too. We just used ours for the first time in May.

Christmas 2013 we cruised with 15 month old GS and and it was great. BUT... it was two sets of grandparents along too. We took our own pak and play and traded it around our 3 cabins. Can not imagine doing it without family to share care of the baby.

Luckily we live in Florida so airfare is not an issue. That being said, we find that a 3 or 4 nighter leaves us feeling unfulfilled. The break point for us seems to be 5 nights. We love 7 nights best though.

It could have turned out so differently! I am so happy for all of you that it turned out as described.

we did not get anything on the Indy a few months back. Have only gotten the strawberries a time or 2. Usually cookies

As frequent cruisers and living in north central Florida, PC is our port of choice. We still work and FLL too long of day for same day departure. Tampa does not offer anything Eastern. We are left with PC
That said, we too are very unhappy with what we can currently get there. We have not changed cruise lines though, instead we will spend vacation dollars on land. We are hoping to get an NEW ship in the fall of 2016 and may again cruise more often.
