  1. it is only one punch for either a regular or large specialty coffee (go large, why not). I ordered a special coffee, and my DH ordered black coffee. Anytime I used my card for one punch, his brewd coffee was free. I did not get the card on this voyage, it was the older looking card too. I think it will vary ship to ship, but be polite and you might get your free brewed coffee with the punch of one specialty drink ;)

  2. I just got off the Crown, on Saturday. There was a naturalist onboard- Michael Modzelewski - he was so great! Tune in your TV and listen to him live from the bridge while you enjoy your balcony (a must!)

He would point out whales, and seals and otters! And talk about the different areas we passed. Incredible.

We did Glacier bay and it was amazing. Absolutely breathtaking. I like Ruby or Crown in Alaska because they are a little bit bigger of a ship. If you do Alaska, you have to splurge and do the balcony. Get coffee delivered to your stateroom every morning, and take the beauty in.

  3. Everyone answered the rest so ill just say this, I was on 10 Day Eastern Caribbean on Royal March 23.. Never once had a problem getting sun chairs on this ship. Its great! lots of space and tons of clean towels.

ALSO-- Eat at Alfredos! the free of charge Italian venue. SO goood! mmmm... We were the only ones there for dinner one night, and it was one of our favorite meals at sea.

  4. Well I have a question and I am hoping since this thread is basically for us coffee LOVERS , someone can answer.

I am wondering if what I order at Starbucks everyday, is a drink that can be ordered on Princess , like the flat white or Will it be unknown to non-starbucks people.

I order a .... decaf iced cafe Americano with classic syrup

( basically I am looking for a iced coffee that is decaf, unlike a iced latte which is topped off with milk and way to milky , Iced cafe Americano is an espresso shot topped with water and by ordering the syrup I don't have to try to incorporate sugar into cold coffee)

    Any thoughts ???

The baristas onboard arent toooo starbucks savvy. What I would do, is order 2-3 shots of decaf espresso, over ice. (ice melts a bit for the americano) add sugar and more ice.

I like americanos with a splash of soy and a pump of mocha. They kept making me iced chocolate mocha soy lattes.. WAY too milky and WAY too sweet. But break it down step by step and they will do it :)

  5. You will link up the one day BVE "cruise card" to a credit card so they can buy drinks onboard, lay by the pool, have some pizza. (You dont have to do MDR lunch, I prefer buffet or PIZZA!)

I live close to San Pedro and enjoy the BVE even without knowing anyone on the cruise.

  6. Ive always had an amazing experience at the Crown Grill. I also think Sabatinis is under appreciated. I finally gave it a try after hearing noting great, and WOW! that was one of my best cruise dinner experiences, ever. It was on the Royal. I HIGHLY recommend it! I had lobster 3 ways and a stuffed chicken dish. The service was incredible.

Oh right.. back to steaks... Crown Grill- filet mignon and lobster tail with smoked salt. *mouth watering* Well worth the $29 cover. Best steak at sea.

  7. I prefer being Aft/Mid Aft. Easier access to Fitness Center/Terrace pool and of course... dining. You've got dining rooms a few decks down and Horizon court above you.

As for Dolphin, Caribe or Baja, Id probably go Baja. Nice walk/stairs to breakfast without over doing it.
