Thank you for today's feet reports and daily.

2 nice meat days and an important one with amnesty international.

    Good quote.

Will give today's food and drink a miss.

    I hope everyone is well.

Pauline and I have been poorly for a few days.

Best wishes to y'all for a wonderful day.

  2. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

77 this AM with a high today of 92.

    Good selection of days.

    The quote makes sense.

    Pass on the meal.

I’ve been to Virginia but not to Norfolk but after my Father was injured at Normandy in 1944 he recovered in England and then spent the rest of his Navy tour of duty in Norfolk until August of 1945.

I’m not a big basketball fan but the sport lost a great former player yesterday with the passing of Bill Walton.

The US keeps getting hammered with a pretty active tornado season.

Heading over to Englewood Beach today.

Have a great day and stay well.

  3. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

75 right now with a high of 92 with abundant sunshine.
Memorial Day is the day we remember all our heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice, God bless them all.

We learned yesterday the PGA player Grayson Murray took his own life, what a shame as most thought that he had figured things out especially since winning in Hawaii earlier in the year.

Have a great day and stay well.

Thank you for today’s FR & D, Rich! Another lovely day here. Last night’s dinner at a friend’s was so much fun. Way too much food & my Tiramisu was a hit.

Vanessa, thank you for keeping up with us all! Glad your HVAC got fixed. I am so happy that your surgery has given you your quality of life back!

Gym, Bindi walks, Aldi, a visit with my Sister & Brayden and pool time!

    Kendall-Jackson Vintner’s Reserve Chardonnay 2020

I used the 2020 vintage, because I found the best info for it. But you can find the 2022 vintage almost everywhere & prices start at $5.98!

Online prices for the 2020 vintage start at $15.98.

    Distributor notes

Wine Enthusiast: "Concentrated and creamy but not overly showy, this wine is balanced, restrained and layered. It meshes an apple-tart flavor with subtle vanilla and nutmeg nuances while underlying acidity achieves excellent balance."

Winery: "America's #1 selling Chardonnay for 26 years and counting! It's no wonder Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay is our most popular release. Grown in California’s cool coastal vineyards. Monterey County provides citrus and lime flavors. Santa Barbara County imparts mango and pineapple flavors. Mendocino County imparts green apple notes. Sonoma County adds ripe pear flavors.  Exceptionally food-friendly!"

I like your alligator joke but living among those critters for over 30 years I wish they would go away and become extinct.

  5. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

73 this AM with more of the same with a high of 92 and sunshine.

Good selection of days, on our last 2 Princess cruises they have had Paper Airplane contests in the Atrium.

Not sure about the quote or the meal.

    A B & B is a great after dinner drink.

Sad day on the PGA tour as Grayson Murray died at the young age of 30, he won the Sony Open in Hawaii earlier in the year and though having issues in the past he was getting his life in order and was going to be married later in the year.

Have a great day and stay well.

Well done for still playing golf so well at 78

I sold my golf clubs 2 weeks ago after not playing for several years through my knee and hip arthritis.

My best score was a 73 on a hard and long par 73 course when I was fit and playing off 7 handicap.

Thanks Graham, I know you had to give up the game because of your arthritis and I feel for you. I’m still hanging in there and trying to play until I reach 80, I probably will join a great executive course we have about a mile away, all depends on my arthritis and my back, It takes me at least a half hour every morning until I’m not walking stooped over because of the back but after that it’s just about 100%.

  7. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

75 this AM with more of the same with a high of 91 and sunny skies.

    Very good selection of days.

    I don’t get the quote.

    The meal works for me.

A Manhattan is my favorite cocktail.

Heading out soon for our Saturday morning breakfast at our favorite diner, I’m going with my usual, a Western Omelette.

I had a good week on the course shooting my age of 78 twice and beating my age by 2 with a 76 on Monday.

Have a great day and stay well.

  8. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

76 this AM with a high of 92 with sunny skies.

    Good selection of days.

I think I get the quote.

I love German Chocolate Cake, yummy.

I wonder what Samuel Morse would say about the technology we have in this day and age.

As a military policeman with the Air Force for 4 years and very pro police I have to say that the Louisville Police Department is a joke in the handling of the Scottie Scheffler incident.

Have a great day and stay well.

  9. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

It’s 73 heading up to a high of 91 with sunny skies.

    Good selection of days.
Not sure about the quote by my old friend Plato.

I would give the meal a go.

I guess I have to pull for the Panthers now in the Stanley Cup playoffs since they are a Florida team, they beat the NY Rangers 3-0 last night in the first game of the semi’s.

Have a great day and stay well.

  10. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

76 right now heading up to 92, it’s not rainy season yet so humidity is still fairly low for Florida.

Interesting days but meh on the quote.

    I’m in on the meal.
Hard to believe Johnny Carson’s last Tonight Show was 32 years ago.

We’ve been to San Diego but not on a cruise, beautiful city.

My heart goes out to the victims of all the tornadoes the US has had so far this year, we’ve experienced quite a few hurricanes in our 30 years in Florida but IMHO tornadoes are nastier as there is not much of a warning when a twister is about to occur.

Have a great day and stay well.

    Hi,

I will be on the Enchanted Princess in the near future and have the Plus package.

Are the items in the refrigerator included in the package?

    Thanks!!

I can’t answer that as we aren’t big drinkers and never get the beverage package. We do get the the initial refrigerator setup free because we are Elite status, we changed out all the liquor for a bunch of bottled water.

    What time were the shows?
Did you eat in any specialty restaurants?

I appreciate your offer to answer questions. This is our first Princess cruise

(have only been on Celebrity) and feel as though I am starting from “square one”,  which I guess I am. Looking forward to trying a new cruise line.

Did not eat in any specialty restaurants, the MDR food was excellent, we also cruise with Celebrity and the food was on par with X. I would give a slight edge to X on the variety of food in the buffet.

We are early diners and we made the early shows which were at 7:30, not only in the showroom but also in other venues on the ship. We saw a great comedian-impersonator in the Vista lounge on the last night.

  13. Just a short blurb about our cruise to the Eastern Caribbean last week on the Enchanted Princess.

This was our 74th cruise so needless to say we are experienced cruisers and we are happy to say that Princess has made it back to the line it was before the pandemic. Everything was just about perfect from the food in MDR and the  Buffett to the great service to the wonderful entertainment. The ship was in tip top shape and clean as a whistle.

If anyone has any questions I will be happy to answer them.

70 right now with a high of 91 this PM with abundant sunshine.

I’ll celebrate International Tea Day, I usually have a cup after dinner and always with a hearty teaspoon of honey.

    The quote is spot on.

    The meal works for me.

My knees were acting up yesterday from walking so much on our cruise last week so my swing was a tad slower along with some good tempo and lo and behold I started the round with 3 straight birdies and wound up shooting a smooth 76, go figure. Our team came in first and we beat the second place team by 10 shots.
Off to the dentist this morning to have a permanent crown put in place.

Have a great day and stay well.

  15. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

73 this morning heading up to 89 with plenty of sunshine.

I’m not sure about the quote.

I’m not sure what a spring salad is but since I love most salads I’ll give today’s meal a try.

Charles Lindbergh was a true American hero but how tragic was it that his son was kidnapped and murdered.
Back to the golf course today but my knees are acting up from all the walking we did while on the Enchanted Princess last week.
Have a great day and stay well.

Welcome home! What, no comment about the PGA golf tournament? Well, I will. I guess Scottie S. learned his driving skills from Tiger Woods. Scottie did very poorly in Round 3 yesterday. I heard he was handcuffed all day! 😀

I guess the events of Friday morning caught up with Scheffler, he is still not my favorite as I pull for Spieth and Justin Thomas but I am warming up to Scottie.

  17. Greetings from beautiful Port Charlotte.

79 this am with a high of 86.

    Good selection of days.

The quote is pretty funny but I’ll pass on the meal.

A nice glass of Merlot is my favorite red wine.

We had a wonderful cruise on the Enchanted Princess with no complaints, Princess is definitely back to the cruise line they were before the pandemic. The weather also cooperated with not one rain drop and very calm seas. We also met a lot of very nice people and of course the crew was great.

Have a great day and stay well.
