    Avoid celebrity. Not what it once was.

     

    Besides many issues like entertainment one worse than the other.

     

    Tender in Shetland islands 2 hours to get off ship. Get very little time in port because not enough tenders.

     

    Using 2 80 passenger tenders to get almost 3000 off the ship.

     

    Stupid dump awful.

     

    Have tenderd many ports pri

     

     

     

    Princess, Cunard and others never such a stupid ridiculous experience.

     

    Any line is better than Celebrity!!!!!

    Itinerary change - Reflection August '18

    I wish discussing this on the roll-call then saw this thread!

     

     

     

    I too had booked onto the 5 day sailing. I am based in the UK but booked via a US travel agency (paid a lot less than the UK website by the way).

     

     

     

    My options were to stay on as a 6 day cruise with $100obc with no extra cost, to cancel with full refund of deposit, or change completely.

     

     

     

    I opted to cancel as I just thought the 6 day was too port intensive (with longish days in port) with no sea day. For me I like to have a reasonably late sail-in to port or sail out if there is no sea day.

     

     

     

    I am now just waiting for my refund.

    Find a local guide on line ahead of your cruise for the port you want to go foraging in. Find one who specialises in fungi, or who is willing to let you take your finds to his house and cook them up. Make sure you get back on board in time.

    Embarkation Lunch

    Our 'perk' was wasted! We flew and transferred, all booked through Celebrity. The Coach waited for about 45 minutes about 200 yards from the ship. We weren't allowed to get off as it was too 'dangerous'. We were then escorted to the back of the queue to check in, even though we explained we had concierge class and there was a priority line. Got on board at 12:45, went to the MDR and the waiters said we were too late for the lunch! Some perk!!
