  1. Has any sailing (Legend) this year made it into tracy's arm? If not, is it worth doing the small boat excursion the tracy arm day?

I was on the Legend from June 21st to 28th. The small boat excursions seem to be worth it if you don't want to actually get up close and touch a glacier. I spent my money on a Skagway excursion where we took an hour boat ride to the Davidson Glacier and actually touched it.

  2. My initial inquiry was buried in another thread. So I figured I would start one since it's specific.

My wife and I are about to enjoy our Alaska cruise on the Legend in less than two weeks. We are on the fence whether to purchase the program. For me, I would like to know if what liquor is served on the ship. I am partial to scotch, other whisky, and vodka. Mainly my drink is scotch neat (Oban 14, Bowmore, Laphroaig, and other single malts). I also enjoy other whiskey and bourbon such as Gentlemen Jack, Eagle's Rare.

What I would like to know is what liquor is served on the Legend. My understanding of the Cheers Program is an alcoholic drink priced at $50 or less counts as one of the 15 drinks allotted during a day. If there is good alcohol on this cruise, I'll purchase the program since I will likely partake in several drinks throughout the day along with a glass of wine or two during dinner. If premium whisky/vodka/scotch is not served, then we will probably not purchase the program and buy our alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks individually.

Any help or input will be much appreaciated.

    Thank you.

  3. Good morning all.

I will be boarding the Legend on a 7-day Alaska cruise in a little more than a week. My better half and I are on the fence (for various reasons) whether to purchase the Cheers Program for ourselves.

Strictly sticking to my wants, I would like to know if there is/are bar(s) on the ship that offer a variety of whisky and bourbon. I mainly prefer scotch neat (Oban 14, Lagavulin, Laphroaig, Bowmore). It's good scotch, but nothing high end. Does the cruise ship offer such types? I don't want to spend $400 per person knowing that all that's offered is Cutty Sark, Dewar's, etc.
