  1. I will NEVER cruise Royal Caribbean again! I don't care if it is a free cruise! 2 worse cruises I have EVER been on! The last straw....I purchased their insurance and they literally poked a huge hole in my hard side luggage. When we claimed our luggage at debarkation the porters took them and put them directly in the taxi and I didn't notice the hole until we got to our hotel a few miles away. I immediately took pictures so it had a time stamp, all the luggage had been dented and one with the hole. When I got home I filed a claim and they said they needed a form from RC so I called them and they said you could have damaged it in the taxi so we cannot help you! REALLY!?!?! So I guess before you EVER TOUCH your luggage in that huge room of luggage where they are yelling at you to get the hell out as fast as you can, stop everything and find an RC employee and take them to your luggage and point at it.

  2. One thing I forgot to mention just getting off the Jewel, as I was leaving the dock, I looked back to see the desk with all the confiscated materials they return to you after the cruise and 90% of the items were extension cords and power strips, few irons for those new cruisers I am sure. I read somewhere on CC that said to take a power strip because of the lack of outlets but I would say that is a big no, no based on how many power strips were on that table. I brought a 6 port USB power cable that takes one outlet I would recommend bringing that and all your USB cords instead.

  3. I just got off a 7 day and the 30% discount you get before getting on board is the best deal. I think the best deal they said once on board was 10% off. And be ready they hump your leg from the minute you get on until 4-5 days in before they leave you alone about booking those dinners! They even come around to you individually several times as you are relaxing onboard.

  4. $103 with taxes and tips added I think. $85 before that. You save $40 if you pick all $12 drinks. BTW that is the max you can spend per drink is $12. I found though if you have tipped your favourite bartender enough by then he will give you pretty much whatever you want on your ticket. Not sure on how many you can buy. I know anyone can use it not just yourself. I read before this cruise if you pick a few favourite bartenders and tip them well with cash on the first day they will remember you and all the perks that go with that. I got 4, 5's and like 40 1's the first day on ship and used the cash throughout the week as I needed extra service it worked like a charm!

  5. Just got off the Jewel on 12/31/17. Does anyone have any questions?

Yes, how is Puerto Rico? We are staying there 1 night before and 2 nights after the cruise and worried about finding a hotel. Saw on Ellen Ricky Martin said that 53% of the area still doesn’t have any electrical. Not sure who to trust to find a place.

  6. Oasis of the Seas - Monster

Personally, my husband and I hated the Oasis of the Seas. Too big for us and seemed like the nickel and diming was WAY more than normal. Also, didn't care for the private Haiti experience. They really had us stuck on that deal. They said all your drinks and food were free for the day but they only had drinks out for the 1 hour "maybe" lunchtime and we had no way of again getting any water unless we left our excursions and went back to the ship!

  7. The last RC I was on it was literally impossible to find a glass of water to drink unless it was buffet time. Being from Arizona we drink LOTS of water. There were no drinking fountains anywhere on the ship and if you asked the bartenders for it they gave you dirty looks. My friends ended up buying water and spent over $100 in 7 days I would like not to do that!

  8. Yes there is a bar they had the same area on Miracle when we sailed in July. We checked it out the first day and it was nice except they didn't have any music. You have half the group that wants peace and quiet and the other half wanting more adult fun. The peace and quite group won out. There were a few guys that tried to liven up the area but the mood in the area was very boring. The Pool is very small and seemed to be extremely dirty all the time and there was no way you were getting in the hot tub. Once people planted themselves there, they were there all day. We found the pool area closest to the spa to be the best on that trip. They did have an adult only party on the Serenity deck one night that was nice.

  9. I had a FTTF pass for the first week in August. We got there at 10:00 because they said we would be getting on the ship at 11:00. This is NOT the case. The last group to debark wasn't even scheduled until 11:45. You have to wait for them to get off then they do a security sweep. We didn't get on until 12:45 so we were at the port way too early. Yes, FTTF has a different line and easy to get on but I won't get there so early next time. Also, if I didn't have FTTF I would just get there at 2 pm and avoid any lines at all. Parking in the structure was just as full at 10 am by the way, because all the people weren't off the ship yet.
