How many formal nights do the 5 night Western Caribbean Independence of the Seas sailing have for the February 3, 2020 sailing? Do they serve lobster on the formal night? This is my first 5 night cruise, as I have always sailed 7+ on Royal. Thanks

When Independence was dry docked last year, were all of her cabins updated and refurbished ?
I’m considering the 5 night February 3, 2020 sailing out of Ft Lauderdale. How many formal nights are in such a cruise? Which night would it be? This would be my first 5 night cruise. -
Thank you! I was not aware.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you book the 3 night dining package online, they make a "First courtesy dinner reservation will be made for Day 1 or Day 2," however, you are able to book any 3 nights you would like subject to availability? I have only booked the BOGO which required me to dine nights 1 and 2.
Thank you.

Does anyone have photos of recent dinner menus from My Time Dining for Harmony of the Seas? I will be on the ship in late July, and I would like to book specialty restaurants on various nights, after I see the MDR menu.
-
Did you request this through the concierge ?
-
Ok thanks. Seems like diamond plus BOGO and online BOGO are exactly the same then.
-
Usually, I prebook the BOGO Online instead of waiting to get on board, however, my Jewel Of The Seas cruise leaving next Saturday is not offering this.
For my Diamond Plus BOGO perk for specialty restaraunts, must I dine the first two nights like the online promo or could it be the first night and any other night ?
How do I have this offer applied on board? Thanks.

Interesting. If I book a 3 night package for 2 people, can anyone confirm the total amount allowed at an ala carte Izumi (no hibachi on the ship I'm going on)?
-
On a recent cruise I was on, I was told by a passenger that Diamond Plus members receive a 40% discount at Izumi for dinner when booking on board. I did not go to Izumi on that particular cruise, but I am wondering if that is a perk that I was unaware of for Diamond Plus members? I'm only aware of the BOGO to specialty restaurants, but am curious if there are any further discounts offered for any specialty restaurants (other than the packages they sell online and BOGO)?
Thanks.

Thank you! I didn't know that.

I'm on the August 4th sailing out of Rome and am wondering if the cruise passengers follow the time zones for the various ports or if there is "ship time" which does not adjust to the correct time zone. Can anyone who recently sailed on this ship confirm?
The reason I ask is some of the ports I am booking independent tours and want to be certain the times are matching that I am booking.

Thank you for all of the help!
Out of Barcelona, Marseilles, La Spezia, Rome and Naples, which port(s) would you say have the best beaches for someone who has never been to the Mediterranean before (crystal clear water, nice sand, bar - crowds are ok to us)?
Booked tours so far in Rome and Mallorca but seeking a nice beach day in one of the ports.
-
Thank you for these suggestions. How is cab availability at the ports? For example, in Mallorca we want to just grab a cab to a beach. Are they easy to grab in all of these ports?
For Rome we are spending a few days off the ship and have booked a few yours already.
It looks like I will need to prebook anything and not just wing it on the pier.

Has anyone that sailed on Harmony, or any other ship, recently have any experience with booking tours directly on the piers upon arrival? I am not interested in booking through the cruise ship and know that in the Caribbean the tour companies, etc usually set up right inside or directly outside the port.
Is this the case in Rome, Naples, Barcelona, Mallorca, Florence and Marseille?
I will probably prebook a few tours direct with a couple companies, however, I would appreciate knowing if any of the above ports don't have tour companies near the pier/port.
-
Thanks. Were you able to prebook every show on the ship? Right now, I'm only seeing days 1-3 available to book shows. I'm wondering if this is a website issue since we are departing out of Rome, not Barcelona.
-
I thank and appreciate anyone who has sailed or is knowledgeable to any of these questions:
- We are setting sail on 8/4/16 out of Rome on Harmony of the Seas and are Diamond Plus members (although we have not sailed in 1 1/2 years).
1. For the dining packages, a 5 night package is currently being offered for $121 per person.
A. Is this the same price they offer day 1 of the cruise?
B. Has anyone booked this online? If so, are you able to arrange all the dining experiences on the day and time you wanted?
2. Right now, RCL online is only showing the ability to reserve entertainment on day 1-3 of the cruise. Does Harmony require pre-booking of the shows or can you simply walk in the day of?
3. Does anyone have examples of the MDR menus for this ship?
4. Has anyone participated in Escape the Rubicon? Opinions?
Any other information you would like to share, please feel free. Thanks.
