So....the main dining room is also open for breakfast and lunch? We sailed MSC few years back and never even thought this would be an option, just used self serve buffet during day and main dining at night, I suppose I assumed RCI was same! Can anyone give me correct link to this info or help out with menus and times the dining room is open, also, would we still be seated at our designated table or would it be sit where you want for breakfast etc? Thanks in advance

Oh no, I'm booked in an aft cabin on Navigator this July deck 9....was looking forward to my early morning relaxing on balcony watching sunrise or evening sunsets til I read about SOOT???

Is the tap water ok?

I am still unsure about adding drinks package! 9 or 10 drinks a day to break even? We shall be off ship each port so only aboard for the full 6 sea days plus part of the other 7 days....I want to enjoy my days and excursions, not be hung over! Unless anyone can give a breakdown of drink costs individually on NOTS, I'll PAYG I think

Only bar inside where smoking is allowed is in the casino.
Outside, smokers have to be on one side of decks 4, 11, and 12. They usually ignore the requirement to be on the side at the deck 12 Sky Bar.
Thank you! :)

Thank you for the most helpful reply received here!

SPOT ON!
Only perhaps to say that the train station in Villefranche is high above the village and it's a pretty steep drag up stairs. Ticket window in Villefranche station seems to be closed more often than it is open. It is advisable to have coins for the ticket vending machines. I remember some machines rejecting credit cards. I think they only take chip-and-PIN type cards
Thanks for the replies and comments although I don't think any sarcasm was called for?!!! I have not visited Monaco before from a cruise port ok! Yes I am aware this is a tender and that the station is above sea level! Simple directions from A-B would have been sufficient, thank you....oh and yes, I have done some research and train tickets can indeed be pre booked incase of the kiosk being un-manned!

I shall keep an eye out for discounted drinks package then!
Does anyone know which bar on which deck smoking is allowed? Our last cruise with MSC, hubby would go down for a coffee and his ciggie in the morning whilst I was getting ready! Be nice if this was going to be possible again on the Navigator of the Seas!

Anyone got photo of navigator of the seas 9390 Aft?

Can someone advise please if a train runs from Villefranche to Monaco or if we change at Nice? We have decided we are doing this trip on our own as been before on train from Nice so from memory, it isn't very far at all.

Wow what a fantastic reply John thank you! In your experience then how does this compare to going by cable car or which would you recommend? I'd rather pay a little more for the reassurance that we shall be dropped off at the ship again as my biggest fear is getting lost and missing it! 😂 Can't remember how long our ship is docked here for, think it's only 12.00-18.00 so I'm planning being back onboard 1700hrs 😂 Thanks again for your reply!

Hi, many thanks! Sorry I never mentioned its Navigator of the Seas from Southampton we are going on!
I have asked RCI direct but they won't share info on drinks prices with me, just try and push the packages!
If package includes CANS of soda, I will probably go with it and stock up on these for days when we are off ship but the cost of package seems a lot considering we will only be on board for 6 full days out of the 14 which could mean a lot of drinking in the evenings just to cut even?! Sailed MSC previously and their drinks packages were so reasonable compared to RC!

hi, believe we can bring 2 bottles of wine on board with us, do these have to be in hand luggage or suitcase?
Also, if anyone can advise on bar prices for a beer and pina colada please and individual cost of a coffee and can of Fanta that'd be helpful for us to decide whether or not to buy drinks package or face a bill at end! Thanks in advance.

14 nights onboard Navigator in July is £1,266 to add drinks package....seems rather a lot to spend on drinks alone?!

 If we opt for a taxi tour, are there plenty photo stops on the way up and then with monkies or do they leave you for short while?

Can anyone tell me if hot chocolate and latte are included or if these are charged at extra cost please?
