You'll have a queen size bed for 2, a couch bed, and a pullman bed that pulls down from the cabin ceiling. Just Google pullman bed Royal Caribbean and you'll find pictures.

I'm cruising on Mariner of the Seas on October 25th and received my eDocuments today; 30 days in advance of the sailing. The Baggage Tag is one of the last pages in the PDF file. You should see yours in 10-12 days.

Care to explain how the US Senate passed an act to allow for Alaska cruises for foreign flagged ships? I guess they did figure out a way to carve things out a bit. Hopefully it passes soon. I still don't follow how other nations matter for this.
The Alaska Tourism Recovery Act is not a done deal. A similar bill needs to be passed by the House of Representatives, and then signed by the President. Its rare for anything in DC to pass quickly, unless the Alaska delegation has already lined up the required House votes.

Here's an excellent interview of Capt Johnny that I found through Twitter. It's well worth a listen.

I have a couple of personal challenges for this cruise.
The first is to verify if I can access the Aqua Show via the deck 7 aft hallway
The second is to see if I can keep track of my free casino drinks. I just made Prime in Casino Royale last month. 🎰
I guess I shouldn't call them free. More like pre paid😉
Another is to see if I can get permission to watch CATS rehearsal
And the last is to enjoy all the new features and venues on the ship
If I can't do it all, we're back in November 😁
I was on the December 8th cruise and the Aqua 80s show was excellent. I saw it 3 times. I can confirm you can access the show from Deck 7. I watched done show from the Deck 7 port side and you could watch the technicians "suiting up" the aerial acrobats with their harnesses.
One Sky was actually called One Sky Preview, and it was a disjointed work in progress.

The situation in Puerto Rico is worse than you believe. There have been multiple aftershocks; one which knocked the 2 main power plants off line, shutting down power to the entire country. The airport remains open on generator power. They hope to restore power by noon today. Hopefully things will be back to normal, but I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow's port call at San Juan is cancelled.

long story short, I need to clear up a misunderstanding that did not look favorably to my stateroom attendant when she actually did a fantastic job.E-mail your comments to:
carlosjimenez@rccl.com, ayera-rodriguez@rccl.com, and RoyalGuestRelations@rccl.comI missed the deadline for my last cruise survey and wanted to give positive feedback on some cruise staff. Although it was a "form letter" type response, they said they'd forward the comments to the ship.Dec 23 at 6:34 PM -

Let me know if any of you will be on Oasis! I look forward to meeting you!
That's great news. I'll be on Oasis on the December 8th cruise. I'll stop by and say Hi. I've been enjoying your CC posts and YouTube videos.

Royal currently has Surf and Stream for my December Oasis cruise for $13.19/day (40% OFF). That's the cheapest I've seen it. I'm not sure if its a Labor Day sale or not. They'll probably have good deals around Black Friday and Cyber Monday too..

also - our recycling program does NOT accept those Publix or Target plastic bags - we reuse as many as we can, but those end up eventually in the landfill, unless we take a bunch of bags back to the store and put them in their recycle containers ...
I'm not sure if all Publix do this, but our St Pete Beach Publix has a bin outside their store to recycle the plastic bags. They also have a separate bin to recycle egg cartons.

If CC doesn't allow the web address to show, Google: Love bug season is back in Florida

Is there a BOGO benefit available for a solo cruiser? My next cruise will be my first as a D+, but my wife won't be going along.

I agree about the crane in the aqua theater, but the other crane that ends up leaning on the outside of the ship is still standing.
I believe that's a separate crane still standing on the starboard side.

That video I just linked shows the ship being evacuated prior to the crane leaning against the ship. You can also see the drydock on the port side and around 1:00 to 1:30 look in the water behind the ship. Not sure if that is coffer dam flooding or what. Video is from crew member walking off ship, so not much footage of water behind ship.
It's actually after the accident and at 0:18-0:25 you can see part of the crane hanging over the port side of Deck 6 just in front of the port LED screen

Bahamas Press has a video from the side of the ship. You can see it listing to starboard. If my attached link doesn't work go to YouTube and search for Bahamas Press

How much did you pay for your $500 gift card?

Go to puertoricodaytrips dot com (I don't think the forum rules lets us cut and paste a website) and look for Old San Juan Walking Tours. If you're in good health, the walking tours are great.
I was in San Juan on Oasis in February and the free trolleys were running. The puertoricodaytrips website also has information on using the trolleys.

I have read reports of lobster in Windjammer, but I've never seen it myself.
Our experience has been that there are usually one or two items from the MDR menu each night, and a whole lot of other choices.
I was on Oasis in February and they had lobsters in the Windjammer on lobster night. This is the first time I've seen them in the WJ. They were smaller than what I've had in the MDR, in the shell, but cut in half. I had one and it was over cooked and inedible. There was a server handing them out and people were getting multiple at one time.

Hi, my question is, if you book a trip for two and pay for it but then only one person was able to go and Royal refunded port and taxes, how many points should I expect to receive? it was a 7 day cruise.
TIA.
I booked a cruise with my son on Oasis last month, and he ended up not being able to go. RCI refunded his port taxes to my credit card and I received double points without asking. I did not expect this and I'm now Diamond+, one cruise earlier than expected.:D

This is a fascinating thread and your Blog is great too. Thank You!

Chief, I always enjoy reading and learning from your posts. Can a KP graduate be commissioned by one of the military services after graduation or would they be required to attend OCS? Do any/many KP graduates accept military commissions versus working in civilian jobs?
