  1. PW has not been onboard Oceania for some time. In the past year or so, Oceania did have another art auction company but they are no longer onboard.

However, on Marina and Riviera we do have the Artist Loft and do allow the resident artist to sell his or her art to our guests including special commissions.

On occassion (maybe 2 or 3 times per year), like we just had onboard Marina from NYC to Southampton, we may have a VIP Art Auction cruise, whereby the Art Company brings onboard 20-30 of their known art collector clients along with a substantial art collection which they auction off. All ship guests are allowed to participate if they wish.

  2. Our relationship with PW has ended very amicably.

Perhaps in the future, we'll host 2 to 3 VIP art sailings each year alongside PW.

As to the spaces once occupied by the art auctions, here's what we're planning:

VOYAGER- will become a high end boutique, jewelry, watches, leather goods

    NAVIGATOR- will become jewelry boutique

MARINER- 4 game tables (chess/backgammon etc) and an additional seating ensemble will be installed along with new art along the long wall.

  3. Too funny Orchestrapal!

But I do want all to know that we're working harder than usual on coming up with new itineraries. We clearly see how quickly new and unique itineraries sell out, so it's in our best interest too do so.

I'm always eager for input and suggestions, so I am appreciative of the 11 ideas.

Itineraries for winter 14/15 will be released in mid-September and I do think Pacheco18 and Potterhill will both be pleased.

BTW, Paulchili, tell me again what your preference(s) are for new itineraries. Look forward to hearing all your good ideas.

Just remember a couple of key considerations when formulating your ideas and perfect sailing:

    1) ship travels at 18 knots Max.

    2) fuel is not available at all ports

    3) need an airport nearby for embark/debark

    Thanks for caring.

  4. We've never had a surf & turf burger.

I can confirm however, that we still have our world famous surf & turf sandwich consisting of sliced grilled lobster and sliced filet Mignon served on ciabatta bread and accompanied by hand cut truffle fries dusted with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

  5. Marketing Girl- I have not been back (left on August 22, 1961), and while I'm not political, I won't go until Cuba is FREE! I truly hope you enjoy your visit and wish I could go with you.

I've publicly said that my last remaining dream is to cruise into Havana Harbor OnBoard one of our ships, and possibly celebrate the inauguration of our next new ship there.

It's only been 53 years, all we need is patience!
