  1. For those who have traveled the commuter train system in BCN -  I arrive in BCN by cruise and take an excursion to Montserrat. Following the excursion the provider will drop me at a Rodalies train station to catch the R2Sud to Sitges. Which station do you feel is easiest for a tourist to navigate for the first time: Franca, Passeig de Gracia, or Sants? I will need to purchase a ticket from machine and find platform while carrying all my luggage. I'm thinking Franca, as it's not integrated with the metro, appears to be smaller than the other two, and it's the first stop on the R2S line. However, if either of the others is fairly easy, then I'd prefer one of them. What do you recommend? TIA

Looking for any great recommendations for private tour companies that you have had good experiences with for the following port:

    Valletta

Looking either for companies who could provide a guide and driver for the tour and/or for companies who will just provide a driver etc. Grateful to receive all recommendations!! Many thanks in

    advance 🙂

  3. Typically I don't buy internet as I use my phone while in port.  However, I'm doing a transatlantic on Allure and will be at sea for 10 days.  I will occassionally want to do email, check/post to social media, and text/call using an app like Line, Skype, or WhatsApp.  I will not be gaming or streaming videos/movies.  I mostly want to be available should family need to reach us.  Which Vroom option do I NEED: Surf or Surf & Stream?

  4. In Dubrovnik we just did the walls and town on our own but we did a fabulous walking tour in Split in May with Josko Zovic - one of the best ever!  He offers 3 options, each building on the prior one.  We did the 4 hour Grand History Tour and really enjoyed it.  He limits the tour to 8 people so reach out to him ASAP.  I've copied the tour descriptions that he sent me at the time.  Reach out to him at stcitytour@gmail.com if you are interested.

  5. In the past I have used fellow cruisers postings of the daily in-cabin newsletters to help plan my own activities in advance of our cruise, so I don't have to take much time reading through them during my vacation. However, I could not find any here on the forums for our Alaska Cruise on the Celebrity Millennium. So, for anyone like me that likes to look at the newsletters in advance of your sailing, here are the daily newsletters from our recent cruise on the Celebrity Millennium's NORTHBOUND sailing from May 12th-20th, 2016. I will also post the May 20th-27th Southbound dailies separately (we went B2B).

PLEASE NOTE: The Millennium's first sailing of the Alaska season includes and extra port to "reposition" her on a Friday-Friday schedule, so this particular sailing was for 8 days rather than the regular 7, and included a call on the port of Sitka. Sitka will not be in the northbound sailings for the remainder of the 2016 season. FYI.

Also, I will soon be posting a review of our experience while on the Millennium for 15 days, and I plan to add the a link to it here in a reply below once it is ready.

I hope you find this helpful. Relish in your planning - it is half the fun!
