Just had the same issue.

Forgot to look when I was signing in and now everything shows as booked. (SOTS).

Fingers crossed that your advice to book once we are on board works.

This would definitely stop me booking on this ship and possibly RC again.

What if you use priority booking in to get through the airport quicker

Cannot find answers to my queries so hopefully my fellow cruisers on this forum can help.

We are travelling for the 1st time on the Symphony, departing Barcelona mid August 2023.

My need for help is -

• Flight home at 10.30am.  How can i be sure to get off early enough to catch the plane. Too senior to carry our own bags off.
• Should i pre book a taxi to the airport or just hope for one outside the terminal. If so what time as that is an unknown.
• Do i need to pre book shows on board and if so, how far in advance.

Hope some kind souls can assist me. Thanks in advance.

If you are on late dinner in the evening, what time are the shows for those passengers?

Still confused. I thought we went to the Mayflower terminal, had the test, went to Ocean terminal, drop off luggage, drive to Triangle, park  and then walk back to the ship by which time hopefully the Covid result will be through and if negative, onwards and upwards.

Am I right??

Senior moment.

Would anyone know, as the ship sails round the UK coastline, would you be able to pick up a UK mobile signal, or are we best switching onto flight mode to be sure of not getting an unexpected roaming bill.

Hope to be on the Ventura at the beginning of August.

Apologies if this has been discussed previously but I cannot find the answers.

I want to book a Lyft from the Port to Jersey City, the Waterfront.

What time will I be sure of being off the ship and ready to travel on.

Where does one find the pick up point to meet the car.

Have a UK phone so I will not be able to phone or text them so where do we meet up.

Should I book in advance or risk trying to use the terminal WiFi to book a trip on the app once we have cleared.

Appreciate your opinions on this.

Undoubtedly the best ship review I have read. Why has it stood at page 2, I  want to keep reading. 

Couple of questions I would appreciate your opinion on -

which shows do you have to book, which do you just turn up to

If on late sitting, are the shows before dinner or after

best place for breakfast

how do you calculate what time to order a cab when you disembark. Do not want to pay for him to sit waiting for us if we cannot get off at the time he arrives

The trip is well through the planning stage but I am still concerned as to -

• What time to book the cab on our return date. Not knowing what time they will give us to  disembark, ???
• How do you know what time they will allow you off the ship as I do not want the car waiting ages for no reason.
• Roughly, from departing the ship, how long should it take to get luggage, clear customs and get to the pick point (where ever that is) in time to meet the car.
• Where do private car pick ups meet customers for their onward journey.

Look forward to some expert help as I am clueless.

Next August 2019 we finish our cruise on a Saturday morning (Cape Liberty Cruise Port ) and will then be spending one night in Jersey City before our return to the UK.

How do I know what time to ask a taxi/car to meet us as I do not know when I will be off the ship.

On the other hand do not want to carry off my own luggage and sit waiting as I got the pick up time wrong.

What's the safest and most sensible time to plan for.

Should I book a taxi or car, any recommendations of companies to use. Just saw Mozio and they have some good options.

Just been offered the Candlewood Suites at a fair price. Seems near to the shopping centre, views of the skyline etc.

Due there on the 24th Aug 2019, one night stay.

Our first time cruising from the New York area and I am confused by numerous aspects. (RCI Anthem)

We fly into Newark on Saturday evening and have booked a Manhattan Hotel (The Jewel) for  few days to view the sites.

• Plan to book a shared shuttle (8pm) so hopefully it will not be too long.
• How to get to the port on cruise day, is it best to get a car to pick us up, if so who and should I book it this early.
• On our return, we dock on a Saturday morning but do not fly back to the UK till late Sunday from Newark again, where should we stay, somewhere relatively safe with things to see and reasonable places to eat.Should I just go back to the Jewel or try a different area/hotel.
• How best to get to that hotel.
• Not knowing what time we will get off the ship, what time should I ask the car to collect us.

Appreciate any advice you experienced cruisers can offer us.

Due to visit Okinawa, Kyoto, Kobe and Kochi but cannot find much in the way of -

• Private options for shore excursions,
  
• What to see locally in each town
  
• They are very close so you can almost do both on the same day, but what are the musts to see.
  
• How easy is it to get to the town centre should there be no shuttle option.
  
• General thoughts and suggestions on how to best maximise the short time we have in each port to get a feel of the place and culture.
  

Anyone who can throw some suggestions in my direction would be most appreciated.

Travelling on RCL Voyager.

In August 2018 we will be travelling on the Voyager of the Seas to -

Okinawa

Kyoto

Kobe

Kochi

Cannot see any do it yourself shore excursions, is that because its difficult to arrange in Japan and the Ships option is the easiest.

Recommendation most appreciated.

Meant to ask as well, has anyone sampled virtual balcony inside cabins available on this ship.

Do you feel the trip could be spoilt due to Typhoons both in HK and/or Japan. Would hate to spend all the cruise stuck inside a rocking ship sheltering from the rain.
