Would we feel ship movement more in these rooms since they are very forward and on deck 12?

In general, the more forward (or the more aft), and the higher up you are, the more motion you will feel.  Since these rooms are as high up as you can get, and as forward as you can get, you are more likely to feel motion in these rooms.

6 in favor 2 not. Looks like a land slide in favor.

If you are referring to responses to your post, note that you mentioned four distinct things in that post:

    1. "I would love to eat at the people's home who say the food has gone downhill."

    2. "The food is tasting pretty good right now."

    3. "Not all the food is seasoned to my taste but is still pretty good."

    4. "Don't have to cook it, serve it or clean up, makes it taste better"

Obviously there's no way of knowing which of those things people are agreeing/disagreeing with.

On the other hand, 6 people agreed with me when I posed this question:

"What does people's food at home have to do with RC's food going downhill?"

Anyway, you still haven't explained to us how what people eat at home has to do with a trend in RC's food quality.

Have seen people that like a lot of spicy food not like the cruise food, Cruise food is usually on the bland side to suit the majority of people. Have seen people that want food to taste just like at home. Others expect the best meals of their lives. Eat the food they serve at home & can see where they are coming from. Satisfied?

That's not the issue.  This discussion isn't about whether RC's food is simply good or not.  It's about a trend of it becoming worse over the last few years.  That trend has absolutely nothing to do with what people eat at home.  Judging by the responses to your original comment about it being related to what people eat at home, I'm not the only one that feels that way.

Knowing that this stop is on hold for now, has there been fellow cruisers that were supposed to stop at Labadee and either got another sea day or sent to another island for the day instead. Thanks in advance to those who reply.

I'm fairly certain that all cruisers that were supposed to stop at Labadee got another sea day or were sent to another island.  Really not sure what you are asking.

Then do laundry during the other part of the vacation?

While that is no doubt good advice when possible, it's not always possible or desirable.  Sometimes the other parts of the vacation are other cruises, with perhaps only one or two nights between them, which makes it a challenge to wash and dry clothes.  It's much easier to do so during a cruise because there are typically more consecutive nights on a cruise, and because it's a lot easier to put a load of clothes in the machine, grab something to eat or drink, come back to the machine, etc.  As far as using Airbnb's, I'm also somewhat hesitant to use those in other countries.  I prefer to use hotels.

Note that I'm not trying to say that everyone should wash clothes during a cruise.  Of course not.  I'm just trying to explain to those that say basically, "don't wash clothes, you're on vacation" that there are a lot of factors to consider.

Two part reply.  Some people don’t want to spend money for luggage on an airplane, others said they were worried about lost luggage

Gotcha.  For me, it's neither of those things.  It's that I take long trips, often to hot places where it would be nice (and convenient) to be able to wash clothes on a cruise ship, preferably not by hand.

Surely more clothes, less laundry worries.  And while tracking devices cannot help if your luggage isn’t with you, but it helps.  Don’t bring designer clothes when traveling

How does a luggage tracking device help with doing laundry?

I don’t get it?  People spend thousands on a cruise but have a problem paying for a piece of luggage?  Also, we have tracking devices in our luggage.  If misplaced at airport or pier we can track. Of course we carry on a change of clothes and a swimsuit, etc. for emergencies

Sometimes the cruise is just a small part of a much longer trip so bringing an extra piece of luggage doesn't solve the problem.

Yes, but the ice cream you have to pay for is excellent. I'm GLAD the contract with Ben and Jerry's expired. The Sugar Shack stuff on the Oasis class ships is now on the Freedom class (from what I heard.)

BTW, if you are on an Oasis-class ship and have the UDP, don't pay for ice cream at Sugar Shack. Go to Playmakers and get it for free (but without the cone). And yes, they have all the same flavors as what's in Sugar Shack. You don't have to stick with the Tahitian Vanilla just because that's what's on the menu at Playmakers.

It's a shame we have to pay extra for decent ice cream.

Were you also on board ?  What do you feel they didn't  do for you  ?

I personally thought giving free booze for 2 days was nice for the drinkers on board, kind of eased the pain.  Free internet to scramble finding  flights or hotels .  They also let us stay on board today till 3:00 pm .  Kind of nice breakfast  and  lunch before leaving for hotel.

So as I  stated  I thought the staff did the best they could.  That being said could the powers that be  maybe not board all those people in Vancouver then go park across the bay for 2 days,  yeah.  Should they have given the people who boarded in LA and sat on board for 4 days going nowhere the chose to  leave , sure. The best was made out of a bad situation and all aboard are getting all monies back plus fcc plus extra expenses.

No I wasn't onboard.  I was referring to others that were, that expressed their displeasure in this thread.

My family and I felt the same way about the food.  The specialty restaurants and Coastal Kitchen are still good so now we book the unlimited dining plan if we aren’t sailing in a suite with access to a coastal kitchen. I also found the drinks watered down.  I don’t like to drink empty calories so I would rather have one strong martini vs 3 watered down drinks.

You sound like exactly what RC probably had in mind as they've cut the quality of the MDR...someone that has gotten fed up (pardon the pun) enough that they are now paying for the extra-charge restaurants.

It’s too bad that someone can’t voice their opinion here - even if they feel it’s not a positive one - without others feeling they have to attack that persons opinion.

I also feel that the food on Royal isn’t nearly as good as it was years ago, but I havent cruised any other lines in that same time so I can’t compare. Maybe they’ve all changed too. We’ve decided to try other lines now since it looks like Royals focus has changed to the shorter what they advertise as “weekend” cruises.

But on the positive side, I haven’t gained any cruise weight in years.

I completely agree.  I think the food has definitely gone downhill in recent years.

Hello folks, We are leaving on the Grandeur of the Seas (an oldie, but hopefully, a goodie) on June 16th out of Tampa.  We are hoping to buy a couple bottle of wines prior to cruising.  It looks like there is some shopping on Channelside.  Question:  Is it an easy enough walk to go to the store, drag our luggage behind us & buy some wine, then back to the dock to board?  (we are not in our 20's)

What's the address of the store?  Also consider leaving one person at the dock with the luggage while sending the other one to get the wine.
