  1. Last cruise on MG I booked steakhouse reservations for a couple who were our travel companions (linked) and they booked Tempannyani reservations for four. We both had OBC. Somehow I was double charged for one set of the reservations. My OBC was charged as was my credit card. I tried to get my 75 dollars back and was unsuccessful even getting an Executive Resolution Host involved. It was some kind of glitch but I was not happy they never credited me back. Be careful

  2. I received a link via a text message to fill out my information and then a confirmation but I had sent an email to the casino host a week ago because I had a question. She answered my email and said she was sending the link.  I’m on the same elite cruise. Usually they send it out a week or two before the cruise. If you need it her email is jkarveliene@carnival.com

Just wanted to add that we DID do some shopping in Puerto Plata and both got some Larimar jewelry. Husband has been forewarned (didn’t want him to read it here first). The pieces were not that expensive and we love, love this light blue semi-precious stone, and that it is only found in Dominican Republic.  I got a teardrop cross and daughter some earring studs.

From Google: Larimar is a rare blue variety of the silicate mineral pectolite found only in the Dominican Republic, in the Caribbean. Its coloration varies from white, light-blue, green-blue to deep blue.  Larimar is considered one of the rarest minerals on planet Earth and this is because its ONLY known source is in one remote mountain located in Bahoruco, Dominican Republic.

Need to buy the grandkids something, so I’ll look in the ship’s gift shop tomorrow, plus we are both coveting the Mardi Gras ship mugs sold at Blue Java. That should be it for shopping this trip!

Thanks for all the updates, a little surprised that the premium Internet package coverage is so spotty. I’m cruising on MG in a couple of weeks. Do you know if the Cucina de Capitano is open or offers anything for breakfast?  I thought I’d heard they have omelette and such there.
Also anxious to hear how Tempanyani was. I have it booked for a late lunch on our cruise.

  4. I booked this service after reading very positive reviews on the boards for transportation between Orlando and Port Canaveral for 4 people for a recent cruise. Our party had an early return flight so I didn't want to take any chances with a shuttle service. When we arrived at Orlando airport, I spoke with Michael who said that we needed to be picked up by a car rental shuttle who would take us to his limo and he would drive us to our hotel in Cocoa Beach. We waited an hour for the car rental shuttle to pick us up which was not expected. On return from the port once again Michael called and instructed us to get on a Hertz shuttle and he would pick us up from the car rental location. This was not what I signed up for and we were pressed for time in order to make our flight. Instead we grabbed a Mears shuttle and got to the airport in time for our flight. I was very dissatisfied with this service and would not recommend them!
