There are some excursions you can book online (the Australian Carnival website). But I think there is more when you book on the cruise.
-
That's easy. Just go into the bathroom and turn the handle with the red dot on it.

Very funny - clean boiling water I should say!
-
But no one ever said everything was free.
And there is free tea and coffee just not room service, same as when you have a beverage package, room service been rages aren't included.
Yes I know wasn't expecting that everything is free - but was hoping for some free hot water in the middle of the night!! haha

If the early posters mentioned that Spirit sailed from Australia I wouldn't have bothered to take the time and effort to search the CCL FAQ's, copied, pasted and formatted the Room Service Menu.
There are many newbies in the US who get the impression that CCL charges for all room service because they hear there are several extra $$ items that have been added.
Yes good to know :) Wish it were so for us Aussies!! :)

There is coffee, hot water, hot chocolate, tea bags, iced tea, ice water available 24 hours a day at several stations on the lido deck in the buffet area and pool serving area on every cruise I've been on. Sometimes in the middle of the night/very early morning hours the coffee machines are in a "cleaning" mode, but easy to find another within a short distance.
Thanks - that is helpful :)
Sounds perfect

Go to cruisedeckplans.com and find your ship then a cabin close to yours and check out the pick then count down to your cabin as the bed alternates to find out which way it sits.
Yes that's what I did in the end - thanks :)

Carnival Spirit and Carnival Legend when cruising in Australia charges for ALL room service. see https://www.carnival.com.au/~/media/CCLAU/explore/dining/menu-pdf/room-service-menu.pdf Beverages including tea and coffee are $3.00 each. Just another way cruise companies discriminate with Aussie cruises - like carnival not allowing us to bring on 1 bottle of wine each.
Yes I thought you could bring one bottle of wine - but couldn't see it on the website.
I couldn't find the room service menu on the website either. Annoying. Why should you pay for a basic coffee or tea when all your food is inclusive (apart from the more expensive dining)?

Hi, just wondering which web site this is from? I can't find it on the carnival website anywhere. Maybe it differs in Australia?
-
In the buffet.
They don't have a buffet though?
-
The drink stations are always open. I don't know if they have coffee all night. I've never tried to get coffee at night. They have it early in the morning.
Where are the drink stations though?
-
Yes, they alternate between rooms. (Due to pluming.)
Thank you! :)
-
haha - I had actually envisaged I might need to do that!!!! lol

Welcome to cruising. If you want something in the middle of night either go up to lido for it or call room service. Sorry but that is the way things are.
I didn't think anything other than the pizza or icecream place was open in the middle of the night?
-
Room service. No need to get dressed to go fetch it yourself.
They charge for room service on Carnival Spirit though
-
For anyone who has travelled on Carnival Spirit - do you know if the layout of the rooms alternate between forward facing and rear facing?
For instance each room down one side - one cabin would be forward facing bed and sofa and then the next room rear facing etc. etc. I am trying to book a balcony cabin that is forward facing. I don't like the idea of going backwards (I know I am fussy). I know that you don't feel the motion much but I just prefer facing forward.
Hope some previous travellers on this ship can help.
Thanks
Kazza :)

Hi all,
New to cruising. Will be going on Carnival Spirit.
I noticed there is no tea and coffee in rooms - which seems crazy to me as any hotel or motel room has tea and coffee at least.
Is there a kitchen or coffee station on each deck where you can make your own tea or coffee anytime? Or do you have to go down to a dining area?
Eg. if you can't sleep and want to make a chamomile tea or decaf tea in the middle of the night.........
Thanks :)

Carnival Spirit onboard credit and how does it work?
in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Posted
Hi all,
Cruising for first time soon on Carnival Spirit. On booking confirmation is states we have $200 onboard credit. Does anyone know how you can spend this? Do you HAVE to have an sail and sign card or can you just use the onboard credit and then use cash?
Thanks for any tips or info....
