  1. I think you are right about that. I have not had my  $250 OBC  from booking transferred. I think they look at that as an out of date promotion. (However you could always ask I did nt as others had previously reported that it was not transferable but might be worth asking they can only say no). If you want Further OBC I think you need to get it / rebook when there is a new promotion . Having said that I am not a TA only my experience .I though I would lose all my non refundable deposit but glad to have had it refunded in FFC at least . Hope that helps.

  2. I cancelled my 25thJuly cruise from UK today I had paid a £300 non refundable  deposit. However because of the Corona virus Princess are allowing my deposit to be refunded as FCC on my Princess account so at least it wont be lost. So defiantly worth asking if your deposit can be transferred or given as FCC.

  3. I dont think I will I booked through Cruise 1st and at the time it stated a non refundable deposit. The flights where with fly be but as they have gone bust I rebooked with Eastern airways they are internal in the UK non refundable also .Having said all that I will decide nearer the time and if I want to cancel I will certainly ask for a FCC or a Future cruise voucher from cruise 1st they can only say no . Like everyone else will just have to make a decision  based on events at time of final payment .thanks for advice .

  4. I agree my date for final payment is 11th April and am finding the policy confusing. My understanding is correct me if I am wrong is that if I make the final payment I will have the right to cancel until 48hrs before I go but the refund will be in FCC not money refund unless Princess cancel. If I dont make final payment I will loss my deposit to cancellation fees £390.Either way if I cancel airfare will not be covered as I booked this .Dont know what to do would feel better if I could cancel and get money back. What are others thoughts.

  5. That exactly what I plan to do ( buy some wine in port when I arrive the day before) as I dont have a drinking package and also dont want to fill my case with wine on a flight. The price for wine and tip on top on board ship  is very expensive . If you take your own and pay corkage it still a good deal as you can have what you want and take to MDR.

  6. I have been in both had good cruises in both type of room your upgrade is costly so only do it if you really want a balcony .Personally I would rather spend that extra money on trips or  specialty dinning. If you get a balcony for a few hundred difference then its worth it but that price is costly .Enjoy what ever you decide.

  7. I live in the UK /the time of year both June and July are good times to visit .Both ships have a good itinerary .Unless there is one which is calling to you .Going on Crown Princess this year for first time to see fjords so cant do a fair comparison until then but I have been on Reflection twice and it is my favorite cruise ship .If you do anytime dinning you can book a time in MDR online before you go (anytime) .That might help with concerns about waiting. Its a matter of personal preference but  although I expect the Crown to be good I dont expect it will be as beautiful as Reflection.Another little thing is if you like to swim  Reflection has the indoor adult pool and the Crown does not .Useful to have a covered pool as the UK even in summer the weather can be unpredictable eg.rain cool hot !!. Hope that helps

  8. Yes thats is what I understand to be correct I dont mind paying the corkage fee on the bottles taken to dinning room it will still work out a lot cheaper than buying on board as I dont have a drinks package .Was just concerned about bringing it all on at once. Thanks for the clarification  .

  9. This will be our first princess cruise. As far as I understand as well as the two free bottles of wine you can bring on during embarkation it is possible to bring on as much as you want as long as you pay the $15 corkage fee is that correct ?. We plan to take on 8 bottles for our 8 night cruise. One for each night in dinning room . Cant buy at each port as Norway very expensive !!

  10.  I was considering booking the Ultimate Balcony Dinning (evening) on our  cruise as it looks a wonderful experience .It is our first time on Princess but also the first time sailing on the fjords  (end of July).I am a bit worried about being cold when dinning out on balcony early evening especially if we are at sea .Has anyone done this at this time of year in the fjords ? .It would nt be the same if we had to eat inside our room .Any thoughts welcome thanks .

Yes, one card can be used for speciality coffees for both of you. We used one card at a time during a 35 night cruise, just buying a new one when the previous one was used up. It was much easier to keep track of that way.

Thanks for info will defiantly purchase one .

  12. I also find the usage of the coffee card confusing !!. Maybe all will appear clearer once on board. So according to this post if I purchase one coffee card which  covers 15 specialty coffees  both myself and husband can use it get specialties together until the 15 coffees are used ?.  One card covers 15 which would be enough for our 8day cruise .If we both bought a card that would be 30 coffees to get through which would be far to many .
