  1. Just to wrap up this thread. The satellite didn't come close to 2100 so it was 1 prize for 1st. I ended up chopping that one. For the top 2 spots. Played 3 other tourneys, none of which had over 11 entries so they were more like sngs. Chopped the top 3 in 2 of the other 3. Just buy in before the cut off and add on and you will have 6000 chips and blinds at 400/800. Play was very week.

The cash game was very slow to start. None the 1st 2 nights. Then a bunch of us from the tourneys bassically all agreed to show up at 9pm and it was then a nightly event. The casino dropped it to 1/2 from 2/5. The cash game was incredibly week.

  2. We were on the cruise that was cancelled on Nov 11th. We got our upgrade 12 days prior to the trip from an interior to oceanview for 50 per person while we had bid 150 per person for a balcony. Once that cruise was cancelled we rebooked tge dec 2nd Gem departure. We booked an oceanview since it included all 5 free options. We did not bid on a balcony, we only bid on a mini suite. The bid was 200 per person and again 12 days before embarking we received our upgrade to a Mini suite aft that was very large. Very happy we had the practice of the cancelled cruise in order to get exactly what we wanted.

  3. After our "practice" bidding on the cancelled cruise, we rebooked on the 12/2 gem cruise in an OV. We bid 215 pp and yesterday we were upgraded to a Mini Suite aft balcony. We are paying less that we did on our cancelled November 11th cruise and getting all 5 upgrades and distinctive perks. Sad we were not on a ship on our 13th anniversary, but we have so much more for less.....we will get over it pretty quickly.

  4. He already used Upgrade Advantage or he wouldn’t say “our bid was accepted.”

    That’s the part you missed.

You can’t undo an accepted bid. It’s in the T&Cs. Accepted bids are charged immediately and non-refundable.

If the question is “Next time, if I book an OV, will I be able to bid for a balcony?”, then the answer is “probably”.

It sounds like the question is “Can I undo my bid?” That answer is “no”.

I am fully aware that i can no longer make a bid on my inside to OV upgrade. That ship has sailed. I an also aware that i can at any time upgrade by paying full price for a higher room by paying the difference. My question which many of you are not understanding is when i upgrade directly by paying full price for said upgrade, would i get a different option to bid for an upgrade on what should be considered a new reservation?

  5. Obviously you don’t understand that you can only upgrade once. What your asking is not possible now if you already won an upgrade!!!

Obviously i DO understand you can only bid once on each reservation. Which is why i am asking if i purchase the full price oceanview package from NCL would i get a different bidding option on Balcony and Mini Suites since this would be considered a different reservation, and not just a bidding upgrade.

  6. Too late. If I understand this, you booked an inside, bid on OV which you got. You are in an OV. You cannot go back and cancel that reservation, book an OV or balcony to get more perks and a better price. If you really really wanted a balcony, you should not have bid on the OV.

You are not understanding my situation. I am not looking to cancel anything. I am simply looking to book the full oceanview through my travel agent, which will give us a 2nd perk and am wondering if that will get me an option to re bid on a Balcony.

  7. We booked inside cabin and bid on OV and BA. Won OV upgrade but really want Balcony. We are going to purchase dinner package which will run about 200 dollars total. If i have my TA just purchase directly with NCL we would now have an OV with 2 perks. But would we also get another option to bid on a balcony as their balcony inventory is very large right now. That is what i am trying to find out.

  8. Sailing on the Nov 11th 10 Day Gem Cruise for our lucky number 13th anniversary. Booked an interior room after 2000 dollars in car repair bills came up 2 weeks ago. Figured we would try the bid game. Bid 50 pp for an oceanview and 150 pp for a Balcony. Got emailed yesterday our OV bid was accepted. Happy about that, but, i didnt know that our bidding for the Balcony would end. We are still happy but really was hoping to win a balcony. I heard about so many people not getting notified until 2 days before the cruise that i was surprised we got accepted this early, and was raising my balcony bids each day. Happy and sad at the same time.
