  1. When I booked my cruise, I paid in full including pre-paid gratuities.  However, we do have quite a bit  of on board credit that we no longer think we may use so want to use it to cover the pre-paid gratuities at the end of the cruise.  So I went into my booking and cancelled the pre-paid gratuities.  But now my statement shows a total (which is now less because of the pre-paid gratuities removed), and a Payment Received which is still the original payment with the gratuities.  Does anyone know if  Carnival will be refunding that to me difference to me at some point before the cruise?

  2. First time cruising on Princess and using Medallion Class app.  Part of the Travel Checklist is choosing "Arrival & Departure Groups", but when I try, it says "There are no Arrival Groups currently available".  Are these only available a certain time out from the cruise?  If so, when?

  3. We are looking into flights out of LAX for our upcoming Hawaii cruise.  It says the ship gets to port at 6:15am.  We prefer doing self disembarkation anyways, so will try and get off as soon as we can.  I see Princess recommends no flights earlier that 6.5 hours, which would be 12:45pm, but we are looking at one at 11:30am.  Do you think we would be ok making that?  We were also considering doing the transfer available through the ship.  Does anyone have any recommendation on that?  Is it easier or quicker (if we are in a rush) to just bank on doing Uber or a taxi?  Thank you in advance for your help.

  4. Is there still no thermal suites on the Grand Princess?  We are booked for a cruise for our honeymoon later this year, and noticed some of the celebration packages include "Couples day pass to the thermal suites."  What, if anything, would that include then?

  5. Hello all!

We are debating a western Caribbean cruise out of Galveston and have narrowed down to two 7 day options. They both have Cozumel, which we've visited before. But one has Belize and Mahogany Bay, while the other has Grand Cayman and Montego Bay. I was curious for those who have been to one or both, if they had a preference or any insight that could help us decide? Thank you very much in advance for your help!

  6. I don't know what your price range is, but we wanted some nice binoculars but were not going to pay over $100 for them. We did research and ended up choosing these:

They worked great for us. Wide angle and easy to use. Only downfall is that the lens covers are not connected with a string or anything. I thought about retrofitting them myself, but didn't have time.

  7. Oh wow, I didn't know the bus portion was 4 hours... We do not have kids, so not worried about that, but are there restroom stops?. We are deciding between this and another excursion that goes to the Klondike Gold Fields and then takes a 3.5 hour train 'round trip to the border'. Have any of you been to that and are able to compare to this tour with the Caribou Crossing Trading Post/Yukon Wildlife Museum/Mushers Camp?

  8. Hello! We are going on the 7 night Alaskan cruise next year out of Vancouver. Though we haven't gotten to the point where we can book excursions, we are super excited and have been looking into them. This is our third cruise, but first non-Caribbean one. I noticed some of the all aboard times are later than the two cruises we were previously on. In particular, Skagway and Ketchikan both have all aboard times of 7:45pm. We are currently scheduled for early dinner that starts at 5:45pm. I was curious how people made that work? Like I said, we haven't signed up for any excursions yet, but definitely will want to. Do all the excursions pretty much end before 5:45 or do we need to be weary of that when signing up? I guess the only other option is to switch to late lunch, but then would we miss the early shows? Any comments or descriptions from people who have gone on this cruise before would be very helpful! Thank you!
