  1. The refreshment package includes quite a few different hot and iced chocolates / coffees.

We didn't bother with it on our last cruise, as I found I was drinking multiple iced drinks per day, just because I could.

Iced water is available at multiple bars and I just bought the odd drink throughout the day.  Ended up cheaper and better for me.

  2. We had the package on Pacific Eden a couple of months ago. There were a number of different coffee / latte / mocha type drinks. Both hot and cold.

Didn't find much available in the mocktail department but didn't try again after liking some of the iced coffee type offerings.

  3. Hi glad to hear you enjoyed Eden just wondering we are going on our first cruise in dec for new year cruise 12 days . Couple of questions to anyone that has been on the Eden do you pay for drinks during meal times water soft drink etc I know you pay for alcohol but not sure of anything else is it a good idea to get drinks package as I do like a good couple of coffees a day also we have a 15yr old in our cabin that I think is sleeping on the lounge he is 6foot will he be comfortable . Sorry to ask so many questions but really excited thanks in advance:cool:

The coffee in the Waterfront is free at mealtimes, as is water. The coffee from the machines in the Pantry is FOUL! Drink at your peril.

    Enjoy your cruise.

  4. Thank you Catjim :-) kangaroo island is amazing! i drove by myself from alice springs about 4 years ago in a getz and spent about 5 days there. totally totally amazing place!

Didn't actually get on to Kangaroo Island as it was too rough. Only got to 'admire from afar'. Wasn't a big deal as it was more about the cruise really. Might visit there some time in the future.

  5. We've just done a four night cruise on Pacific Eden to Kangaroo Island. Can't help you with the cruise that you are going on, but can help you with the ship.

Go with an open mind and don't take too much notice of the reviews. We loved the ship and our time away. The public areas of the ship are nicely decorated, with many bars and places to sit and chill.

We mainly ate at the Waterfront Restaurant and loved all the food offerings. We went straight there when we boarded and made a booking for the same time each night. We went on Pacific Dawn last year, so knew the ropes. We didn't try Angelos or Dragon Lady and did Salt Grill on the last cruise, so didn't bother with that one either.

We were in a balcony cabin, right at the back of Deck 10 (Cabin 10099). I was initially mildly concerned at the location, but if we go on the same ship again, we would happily book that cabin again. It was a great spot.

The only thing we didn't like was the coffee from the machines in The Pantry. It is VILE! No better on Pacific Dawn.

Hope you have a wonderful trip.

  6. I cannot see why not.. I took my laptop on the pearl, and my iphone and my ipad.. not a problem..

    Thanks Sanjanjo

    In the FAQs it says:

'For your safety, we don’t allow the use of electrical appliances, so leave those at home too'

    AND

'Electricity on Pacific Dawn, Pacific Jewel and Pacific Pearl 50 Hz (Hertz) is the standard electricity frequency in Australia. Our ships can only deliver electricity at 60 Hz and can’t change the frequency (Hertz) of the power supply. A transformer converts electricity to different voltages and will not alter the supplied frequency. Most Australian electrical equipment designed to work at 50 Hz won’t work on our ships or will be damaged if used.'

My charger says that it's 50 - 60 Hz so should be OK.

I just didn't want to get there to embark and have them say 'oh no, you can't take that onboard'.

    Anyone else have any experience?
