My wife and I will be in port in Naples on June 27th on NCL Epic during the Festa Sant'Andrea in Amalfi. We would really like to tour the Amalfi coast, but is this a bad idea? Traffic is typically bad, but adding a festival seems like a recipe for disaster. Should we do Capri, mosey around Naples or take our chances on the Amalfi coast?

If we are booked in the haven, can we just use the concierge when we board to book shows and specialty restaurants or should we do that online prior to? I know we have access to the haven dining.

Our June sailing on Epic in Haven just dropped by 500.00 per person. We have already paid in full. What happens in this scenario? Are we out of luck or does NCL make some sort of concession if I make a call?

I sailed on the star last November with my wife and three children in a suite. After sailing once before on NCL Getaway, we were concerned about the ratings as well (Getaway was new at the time). Service, entertainment and dining exceeded our expectations. We are very easy going and had a great time. The service was A+. This may be due to being in a suite though. The shows were geared towards an older crowd (70s Rock and Burt Bacharach), but we still enjoyed them. Pool and casino are smaller than the mega ships (waiters very slow in pool area). We prefer large ships, so may not sail on Star again, but we had a wonderful time.

Any suggestions on best ways to transfer from Barcelona Airport (BCN) to the cruise port? We are sailing on NCL Epic next summer, but wanted to get some ideas on transfers. Also, our flight arrives at 8:25 am. Staying in Haven. What is the earliest we can get onboard? Lastly, is it worth checking out Barcelona or heading straight over to the ship. Thanks all!
