  1.  We are also in the same situation.  We just celebrated our 60th by cruising the Greek Isles on Reflection.  We always book aqua class for dining in the Blu. While on the cruise we were thinking about booking the Baltics for next year but the prices for Aqua were outrageous.  Thanks everyone for recommendations and opinions.

  2. We booked Oia on your own excursion. We tendered to a separate port and were bused up the island 😬 to Oia. Had 1.5 hours to explore and then dropped off in Fira. We ate lunch and headed to the cable car line. Surprisingly it was very long but moved at a decent pace, probably took us 35 minutes to the cable car. I heard later in the day the lines were 1-2 hours, can’t imagine in that heat.
After dinner in the Blu we went to the sunset bar to watch sail away and ended the evening with a night cap in the ensemble lounge.
below is the view from Oia.

  3. So sorry to hear about the still missing luggage. Last night was Abba sing along in the Grand Foyer and it was packed on all 3 levels. It’s was really fun seeing all ages engaged.

We are in aqua class and eat most meals in the Blu. There has been previous discussion about ordering off of main menu while dining in the Blu. We have had no problem since we usually order escargot each night. Food and service in Blu has been outstanding!

  4. Yes, it was very hot in Athens. We booked a private driver with PK Travel. The driver met us at the pier at 8 am and drove us straight to the a acropolis to beat the crowds. It was crowded but doable. By the time we came down the hill around 9:45 it was a madhouse. Our driver drove us around where we saw various landmarks and had a chance to see the changing of the guards at the presidential palace. We continued on to the National Archeological Museum and afterwards where dropped off at the plakas. It was an incredible morning with a fantastic driver. My one piece of advice is to buy your tickets for entrance ahead of time. I didn’t understand why so many people where in line to buy tickets at the acropolis when you can purchase online.

Last night on the ship there were plenty of activities: theatre production, silent disco poolside, grand foyer music and 80s music in sky lounge. We stumbled upon an acoustic tribute to Fleetwood Mac in the Ensemble Lounge that was well attended. I haven’t need to the Lawn Club but there was a late night showing of Elvis the movie.

    looking forward to Mykonos!

  5. We are also on board. After dinner in the Blu last night we went to the atrium for 80s music night. Tons of people there having a great time. The staff is probably one of the friendliest we have encountered. I will also second that the solarium is policed very well for people with kids. A previous cruiser posted comments regarding vibration and I’m happy to report from deck 11 so far no vibration.

You can bring two bottles of wine onboard per person.  Given our recent experience, we are definitely taking advantage of this to have nice wines we really enjoy rather than hoping for something that doesn’t seem to be “stocked.”

It's only 2 bottle on embarkation day correct?  You can't buy 2 bottles in a port to drink on board?

I looked at the app and the wine selection is pitiful, kinda worried

It's been wonderful to see the All Things Food & Wine sticky expand, thanks to everyone for adding their recommendations and continuing to ask questions, contribute to conversations. It looks like it's making a difference in helping travelers increase and enhance their planning and enjoyment of meals during their time in Rome and elsewhere in Italy, a country so renowned for its culinary riches.

Well done community, as always 🙂

I wish there was all things food and wine on the Greece and France boards also
