Hi everyone. I am in a connecting balcony cabin for my upcoming cruise on the Bliss. I am concerned about noise coming from the neighboring cabin. Has anyone had any bad experiences?

The only noise we heard was the toilets flushing. Sounded like thunder lol

Hmmm, not sure why a cremember’s nationality matters.

 

As long as they speak English and provide good customer service we’re happy.

 

Actually one of our favorite cruise ship bands on NCL are Filipino... Prism.

And they all were absolutely amazing including our steward and butler!

We just got off the bliss today. The crew are going do a little cleaning and a staff party prior to picking you guys up tomorrow. They were filming commercials during our sailing that affected access to certain areas but I think they will be done with that when you board. Aft elevator use or stairs instead of forward elevators REALLY helps with ease of getting around the ship. Forward elevators pretty packed. Beautiful ship and we enjoyed our first big ship experience. Found it very easy to get around onboard. We didn’t experience any issues getting race track ressies and specialty dining times. We really enjoyed speciality venues and the Local. Have a great time!

We also got off the Bliss today! We were in the Haven so we were floored by the beauty of this ship! The forward elevators are terrible!!!! That was my only complaint about the ship if anything. We had such a great time.

We just got off the Bliss in the Haven Forward facing penthouse. It was a dream! We felt so spoiled and everything is absolutely gorgeous. The Horizon lounge is awesome. We watched whales for hours in there.

From what I can gather, looks like at Guest Services. I don’t think it is one for our cruise because it is COLD. Would be super nice for warm weather cruises

Does the Starbucks on board have pumpkin spice and/ or pumpkin scones? Thanks in advance, I understand if you don’t have time to answer

They have Pumpkin Spice and they take gift cards or your Starbucks app!!!!

We are currently aboard in a Haven connecting stateroom and having the time of our lives! We feel extra swanky in the Haven and definitely spoiled. We cannot figure out how some other posts had so many complaints. The food it amazing, the ship is gorgeous and the staff is perfect! We have a butler, the nicest little lady ever! The ship has so many little nooks and areas to appeal to all audiences and break up crowds. The only truth that remains, yes the elevator situation stinks! Takes forever! Shoot us some questions and we will try to answer!

We're in 9106 and also looking for pics.

We ended up booking 9706 back in June. It doesn’t have the best view from the window in the master bedroom but oh well. We were in a balcony and my mom was in a single room so we all went in together to get into the Haven. We have more than enough space for us. See ya on the ship!

Hi I was wondering if we should bring any shorts for this cruise.

We are sailing the same cruise and it looks like we will be expecting rain. It gets chilly! Even on sea days the wind is cold. I would wear shorts. I wore a dress one day to dinner and was really cold.

We loved it so much we are sailing agian this Saturday. Fully expecting rain rain rain! You actually have to go out and do some excursions to really take in Alaska. We went kayaking and had humpbacks, orcos and sea lions in the bay with us! If that doesn’t do it for ya then I don’t know what will! We personally hate the beaches and ocean stuff. We live near the beach so we choose differenr climates to vacation.

The hot water is to kill the bacteria in the formula powder, that can easily get contaminated by the scoop. As a lactation consultant, I must say that this is a very important step to decrease the risk of having a very sick baby. The bacteria they can catch from unsanitary formula preparation is very dangerous.

We are in last bliss out o seattle on this sept and those options became available on de 69 days mark to departure

Thanks for the review. We sailed the Pearl 2 years ago to Alaska and loved it. We are sailing BLISS soon to Alaska again and we know we will love it just as much. We are in Haven so we cannot go wrong.

Do not be worried. People are so spoiled and ungrateful and just love to complain. We sailed a few years ago on the Pearl, a much older ship, smaller and showing wear, but we had the time of our lives! We are simple and loved everything and the food is very good. Of course the buffet is hit or miss but every meal we had in the main dining or specialty was served hot and tasted great! The drinks were great and our room was always clean. I am expecting the Bliss to be crowded because it is a mega ship. We know that going in. We will make the best of everything else.

Just curious, is there a cut off to purchase the beverage package prior to sailing?

Can someone remind me how the UDP works and gratutities? We have the drink package too and I know some charges were added to our bill. I see the 20 percent gratuity charge on the menus. Do they add this to your bill/room account? I don’t remember paying anything at the table when I went on the Pearl.

Thanks for the review! We made all of our reservations! Why didn’t you make reservations if this is your 11th cruise with NCL? Just curious. Everybody enjoys cursing differently. We have the dining package and I feel that is totally worth it especially if you were spending 90 bucks at Ocean Blue

Pardon me if this has been asked already, but is The Q included for the Ultimate Dining Package? Online is doesn’t allow reservations which seems odd.

This year I'm sure the Bliss has something to do with it. You know new ship and everyone wants to be on it. If I had to make a guess about the age demographic's on my last Alaska cruise, I'd put it late 40's as the average. Yeah they seem dead, but I'm not as concerned about the roll call issues as I am on what the heck am I going to do in Seattle with a 6 hour layover on the way to Anchorage.

We sailed a few years ago to Alaska and are mid 20’s. There were tons of families on Pearl. Not an older crowd at all!

I can’t tell if she is pulling into the same cruise terminal that NCL/Oceana uses. Such a massive ship!

I just noticed that our itinerary may have changed. I could have sworn we were going to Juneau and now it’s not. Hmmmmmm.

Is Margaritaville free on first day for Haven? Is this typical or specific to your sailing?

Are items with an asterisk extra cost?

The forward view from the bedroom isn't very good from deck 9 but it's still a great upgrade. You'll have the Observation lounges for forward views, anyway.

Is it obstructed? As long as I can see water that is all that matters. We will have the Haven lounge to enjoy. Our last cruise we were in a balcony on deck 9 but not a forward room. We didn’t see any whales but the land/scenery pulling into port were amazing.
