Yes, USB sockets....usually in hotels, they are in the base of the lamps sitting by the bed or on the cabinets opposite the beds.

Sorry, I may have worded the question incorrectly.... I didn't mean do they provide chargers, I meant do they have the plugs.  I know some ships have them in the base of lamps.

Looking at booking cabin C422 on the Caribbean Princess.  Would appreciate any comments from any recent cruisers.   Thanks in advance for your help.

I have a very small but powerful dryer that always stays in my toiletry bag. The hair dryers on the ships are weak plus they are usually permanently attached to the cabinet in the desk. As everyone has said, do not plug any appliances into the bathroom socket except a shaver.

Are you allowed on this site to tell me what the brand is? we are looking for a small powerful dryer to use for travelling.

It has been Ok but certainly not great. I was able to get thru check email & social media without getting frustrated.

I'm holding one now, with a strip of tape attached, to dry my jacket. It's working fine. We are on the Royal, leaving Le Havre to return to Southampton shortly. Even though it takes up a bit of space in the drawer, it's convenient and works well to dry my hair, sneakers and jacket.

No. they are larger and stronger. Instead of being on the wall at the desk, they are in a drawer.

When you're standing at the rail abs look down, you'll see some of the Promenade deck below you rather than straight down to the sea.

We have not been on Princess since the restriction of bringing wine on board. Can anyone who has been on the Crown lately tell us if they are enforcing the 1 bottle per person rule?

In the past, we gave always requested the "egg crate" toppers for the mattresses on most ships on Princess--we have never sailed on the Crown. Could anyone who has sailed recently give me information as to if the mattresses have been upgraded or are they the same?

Yes, from what I have read, they are the lower end of Scenic -- apparently to compete with Viking and Avalon. We have cruised Avalon and enjoyed everything about them. So, if they are comparable to Avalon, that would suit us. In comparing scenic and emerald, I cannot see how they have made emerald "lower"==perhaps quality of foods and wine, lesser tours??
