If I read the OP attachment, it indicates refunds are possible. Am I missing something?
No their T&C did state they would give a refund. However they refused. Finally after over 6 months they agreed, and then did not refund for another 6 months.

Has anyone, who received an FCC from Hurtigruten, been able to transfer the FCC to another person?

We live in the United States.
I need to purchase travel insurance for our upcoming trip to Antarctica in January 2022.
If you recently purchased insurance for your upcoming Antarctica trip - what company did you go with and why?
We are sailing in Feb 2022 and we purchased our insurance from Travel Guard. There are several online companies that "compare" prices. Make sure to check out several of them ...as they all offer the same insurance companies...but not all prices are the same. Insuremytrip; Squaremouth; and the one mentioned above. If you are member of AAA or USAA they also offer just travel insurance. Make sure your travel insurance is the "primary payer", not secondary...as this means you must submit to your other insurance methods (like medical insurance) and get a reject before you can submit to the travel insurance carrier. Takes a lot of time, and is a hassle. We have used both Allianz and Travel guard...both are very good for claims.

We just booked the Chile - Antarctica-Chile cruise for February 12, 2022. There are 2 couples from US. We were hoping to find some info on past cruises to this area. Hopefully, someone is "bored" and will chime in. LOL

Trip was planned for October 2020. It was cancelled on 29 July 2020. We requested a refund, and was told...no they are only giving a credit...AND at only 100%. However, their T&C
clearly states
Does anyone have any ideas on how to get deposit refunded? BE very careful before booking any Scenic trip.

Anyone experience cancellation/bus trip for the Rhone? Or heard of anything? Thanks

Glad I asked. A Supv explained to my TA, taxes on a sailing change all the time. But when a group is booked, that tax stays the same. When you sail, if the tax has gone down, you will be refunded the difference.

The other posters are correct. "[T]ax" is the wrong word. Tax is something a merchant collects on behalf of the government.
Perhaps the correct term is "surcharge". It is quite possible there is a surcharge being charged. An explanation would be in order, so I hope you received one.
Yes, surcharge would be a better word. Whatever you call it we are still paying more. I was told it is a new charge for all group bookings. No reason why. Would be interested if other people are willing to call Celebrity and see what kind of answers they get.

A "tax" goes to the government.
This sounds fishy to me.
I think CEL is just using semantics. If it was a true "tax" then why is it not on a non group booking?
-
My suggestion is to call X and ask them about it. Your TA may just be pocketing it as a renamed booking fee. Usually a group booking price is slightly lower than "retail," not higher. I wouldn't put it past either one of them.
Just called. My TA is NOT pocketing It is a new tax they are imposing on group bookings.

My TA just informed me my group booking is $51.50 higher than a non group booking. Celebrity told her it is a new group tax.
Egypt- AmaWaterways vs Viking vs Viking’s old ship MS Antares

We did extensive research before booking our Egypt trip. We chose AMA because we felt it had more included in the price. We board 23 December and are very happy with our decision.
