  1. Hello I Cruiser:

We are choosing our cruise to Norway for 2015. our best option right now is the celebrity eclipse 8/22/15. it is an 8 night trip with all of the major stops we wanted. I have 2 questions.

    1) with this being the end of summer, will there be limited waterfall viewing with most of the snow melt gone? 2)i have mobility issues, not wheelchair bound, but use a cane for long durations, and stairs are a challenge. would i still be able to get around the main town areas and participate in some of the tours.

  2. we are also doing the research for 2015. having just got off the celebrity reflection in february, we are leaning towards the 8 night norway on the eclipse 8/22/15. we are doing the price comparison vs the serenade, and the clipse is winning with the 123 or pick your perk. torn because the serenade is all glass and designed for alaska or norway. thanks for all the info on this post.

  3. booked a 12/13/14 silting on the reflection during our 2/8/14 trip. Got the 123, 250OB credit for concierge. had reservation transferred to our TA and got our 150 OB credit there. 2 weeks after booking, there was a 200.00 price drop and the TA took care of this and all was honored by celebrity. We than changed the trip to the 11/8/14 sailing to do the western trip on reflection. Again, got transferred with everything in tact.

  4. as this itinerary is not the norm for reflection, (it is only doing this 1 western week between nov and dec) the excursions may not show up until you get closer as posted previously. We will get the ship ready for you as we will be on the 11/1 sailing, and just got off the 2/8 sailing. Cheers.

  5. we sailed on the 2/8/14 reflection sailing. Cellar masters was our favorite spot for a before and after glass of wine. A lot of folks do not want to spend extra for the machines because they have the package. We had the upgraded package and still used the machines quite often. We really enjoy good wine and have an extensive cellar at home. The enomatic system allows you to sample wines you would never get a chance to including opus 1, cay us, far niente etc. You can get 1oz, 3 oz or 5 oz, all with different price points. It is not for everyone, but we enjoyed it immensely. As we spent a lot of time in there, a lot of people actually use the venue to meet before dinner, including all of the officers.

If you buy 100.00, they give you 120.00 on the card. This covers the 15.00 gratuity plus 5.00. The sommeliers explained things very well to folks that would come in, but by no means were pushy..we ordered off of the wine list in there every night. We enjoy the foley Pinot noir, so we would pay the 4.00 difference from the drink package limit. This is also a 24 hour bar, as you can dispense wine from the machines anytime you want.

Again, not for everybody, but I believe it is a money maker for celebrity, and would expect to see it remain. Just my opinion.

    Cheers...

  6. or you can book the ultimate dining package, which allows you to eat at any of the 4 speciality restaurants as many times as you like. It also covers the porch and bistro on 5 five dollar cover charges as well as afternoon tea and lunch at murano, a 25.00 meal.

We just did this on reflection 2/8 and really enjoyed it. The cost is 29.00 PP per day, or 406.00 for the week. We went to all of the restaurants including the Tuscan and lawn club twice, and ate at the porch or bistro for lunch and dinner everyday. It is not for everybody, but it was great for us.

There is a wine list in cellar masters. You can order anything they have listed by the glass. There are only a few that are above the premium drink package. In hindsight,I should have gone to the menu more instead of adding more money to the enomatic card....

The jazz concert starts at 7:00 pm. There are blankets and night lutes set up on the lawn for it. It goes to 9:00 with an intermission

  8. just off the 2/8 sailing. The smoking areas are on the port side at the sunset bar. Several tables chairs etc facing aft. More chairs by the lawn that are in the smoking area. There is also smoking at the mast bar starboard side, as the bar is on this side of the ship with the design of reflection. There is also a smoking area on deck 5 port side. This is outside the entrance to the ensemble lounge and entrance to michaels and the speciality restaurants. There are 10 or so slide rockers with tall ashtrays set up in this area. Enjoy your trip, it was an awesome trip.
