  1. Has anyone stayed at the Rodeway Inn in Fort Lauderdale? Thanks

We are staying there on Feb 5th prior to our cruise. I can report back if you are after that?

Yelp has ugly reviews but Tripadvisor had decent reviews as do all the other reviews I found.

We wanted cheap (room was $125 a night when booked), close by air & cruise ports, free shuttles and they have a dayroom we are thinking of using after the cruise while we wait for our late flight home.

They have a bar & grill onsite, gift shop onsite and they sell wine for cruises onsite. So for a free ride to the hotel I won't have to leave once I get there until the next morning when they give me another free ride to the ship!!

Honestly I have yet to stay in a memorable hotel anywhere in FL. I can let you know if you'd like.

  2. Great review!! My sister and I sail her in 28 days!!

Do you recall if there were shampoo/conditioner dispensers in the shower? That is the one and only thing that is causing us to check a bag and if they are in the showers then my problems solved. I know I can buy inflated priced stuff after landing but why if it's there.

Thanks for you help, and HELLO from 2 MN girls looking to warm up and get some color!! :D

  3. Be sure to check your Cruise Compass for times as Flow Rider is not always open. Sometimes it's open evenings but the best timing is if it's open on a port day and you don't go off ship. If she's never done it beware that bikinis do dislodge or come off. If she can buy a surf shirt and board shorts that will help. Watch some videos and have fun. Most importantly get your waivers signed and they will give you a wristband :)

We are looking forward to both of our stops, so we won't be staying on the ship those days. We also have 2 sea days but I'm sure the wait will be out of control those days!!

Good to know about the bikini, though she's a one piece sort of gal!! :)

Can the waiver be signed in my cruise planner or only on the ship??

    Thanks for your help!!

  4. I am also going on the independence in the spring. I found an old cruise compass (2015) that showed it was open for a limited time on day 1. I am going to wear swim suit on board so I can do this with out a line. I think it is going to be similiar to Disney's waterslide you had to do it first thing or suffer long lines.

That would be perfect if it were open on the first day....she can do it and if she likes it she can decide if waiting in line is worth it to do it again!!

    Thanks for the info!!

  5. As you can see from my signature this will be #4 for me, but my sister is coming with me and it's #1 for her. I've been hunting and hunting CC for a picture review and yours is the ONLY one out there!!!

I want her to fall in love with cruising and if your pictures and review don't do the trick then I'm going to have to pick another sister next time, because she'd be nuts if she doesn't fall in love after looking over your review!!

We sail Feb 6 2017....this has made me even more excited to get on the ship. I've never been on a large ship so this is going to be a blast!!

Thank you Thank you Thank you for taking the time to put this together, it was amazing!!

  6. I promise to do a picture review too!

Please!!! Infact over do it....this will be my 4th cruise (never Indy) but my sisters FIRST and I am trying to get her pumped up, I mean she's excited but I want to her to fall in love....you know what I mean!!

I'd like to see some bar prices if you can find them!! Not doing the drink package (kind of spendy?) but will have a drink with dinner, by the pool and what not probably daily.

What is the current Drink Of The Day price....it was $6.95 last time I cruised!!

  7. I searched and didn't find the answer I was looking for. I'm sailing in Feb with my sister. She wants to do the surf thing...

    we have 2 sea days

When is the best time of day to get up there and get on it?

Is it worth a waiting in a long line?

Is there a cost to it?

Any other tips for doing this activity!?

    Thanks for the help!

  8. I'm sold Darth Grady!!!:D

I loved Enchantment & Grandeur, Legend looks nicely different yet very much like her sisters!!

I going to assume being I had inside cabins on E & G that I will be ok with Legend's interior cabins?

I am very excited, this is my ship to return to cruising on. I notice she's not in the states often so I need to get planning now!! Thank you for doing this review, it was awesome!!

  9. I pick a cruise because it's a cruise & to get out of MN in the middle of the winter!! If you made me decide it would be by price. I really don't care where I go (they all have beaches and more beautiful sights than snow) or which ship it is (except the superships I really have no desire to try one) because they all have a pool deck and bar!

I'm sure you get my point, and now that I am back in the "real" work world I get to start browsing again at awesome prices!! :)

  10. I loved the EOS, I was on her awhile ago and of course things may have changed but I really truly LOVED this ship, it's just the right size, there was always something going on, always life by the pool, staff was friendly and helpful.

I don't cruise for the food....in my opinion it's great BECAUSE I'm not shopping for it, cooking it or cleaning the kitchen afterwards. We have much better restaurants around our town to get a fabulous meal if I so choose to pay for it.

Keep an open mind, have fun and be sure to let us know how it turns out!! :)
