  2. We had the best time on this excursion a couple of weeks ago.  I was nervous until the first lap was completed.  After that it was game on…..  I had a total blast and so did hubby.

The driver met us promptly at the port.  While on the drive we heard about the history and culture of Bonaire.

The staff is very pleasant and professional.  All geared is well cared for.  Cleaning of used equipment is addressed immediately.  If we ever fin ourselves back on the island of Bonaire we will go do this excursions again.  Before we left our driver at the port we gave her a nice tip for the crew.

  3. We are just getting back into the swing of things after doing a B2B on the Voyager and a few extra days in Puerto Rico.

I dont even know where to begin with our tour.

KYRA couldn’t have said it any better.   Our driver got upset when we tried to get in his van.  The guy didnt even know he was taking us on a tour.  This part was very unorganized…Not to mention NO air conditioning with a van load of 9 people.  The driver didnt want to talk to NO BODY.  My husband was lucky enough to sit in the front seat where he could have leg room.  I was the fortunate person to sit on the little jump seat next to the sliding door.

This tour could not be completed without going through Royal.  A taxi can be taken to both establishments but no tour will be given.  You will have to call for a taxi to return you to the port.  There are no taxi stands outside of either establishment.

As a B2B passenger you do not use the regular disembark procedure or go through the customs lines.

They will leave a letter in your room explaining the procedure. It can vary by ship, but normally they have all B2B passengers meet in a designated location at a designated time. Often they have customs agents meet you there. Then they'll take you off the ship as a group. You'll have the option to leave for your excursion, or re-board the ship after all passengers have left the ship. If you are going on an excursion they will give you an In-Transit Pass that will allow you bypass the regular check-in and boarding process to re-board the ship, although you will have to go through security.

    Thank you for this information.

We will be arriving in San Juan on the Apex around 3 o’clock on Easter Sunday. Will things be open or does everything shut down for Easter? Conversely, are there any celebrations or anything interesting that happens Easter Sunday afternoon/evening?  Thanks!

We too will be in PR on Easter Sunday.  I have been in touch with our local tour company Spoon Food Experience about activities.  They have told me that there is nothing special happening in OSJ Easter Sunday.  They did state that many families will be picnicking and gathering on the grass area of El Morro to fly Kites.

What time was the earliest people started disembarking there? I didn't have to wait to go through customs and immigration last year. It's all automated now. Didn't take long for the TSA either. I have Global Entry so at least I can go to a separate line.

I am more concerned about being able to get off the boat on time. I noticed that time could be unpredictable.

Next morning isn't cheaper for me because you have to pay for a hotel and lose work hours. 1 AM flights are cheaper. But then you can't really work the next day either.

The ship docks at 6:00 am if everything goes according to plan.  The earliest I've scene people get off the ship is 7:00 am carrying their own luggage.

Our ship is scheduled to arrive at 6AM. If anyone had this arrival time with RCL, what was the earliest people were able to get off ship?

I am trying find the cheapest possible flight. The only reasonably priced option is 750AM. Probably too early. But I am still hoping it might work.

Way too early... you have to go through customs at the pier then the Ag inspection at the aiport.   Don't forget TSA lines.... best option is 11:00 am or later.  We are actually staying an extra night and flying out very early the next morning.  This option was much cheaper than trying to get a mid day flight.
