We've just returned from the POA and have done what has been suggested. Rented cars and used the Shaka app. I'll try to find time tomorrow to say more.

We were on the cruise starting 9/2. We had a great time. Ship was great, staff was wonderful (especially Margarita and Pam in the Skyline Restaurant)! We had no issues (other than 1 elevator being especially sensitive to number of people / weight). Go and have fun!

I forgot to ask what time did the shows take place?
Someone recently posted the daily activities letter. Having just got off of the ship, I found it to be accurate. Do a search and you will find all of the activities and times.

Agree with Discount Hawaii Car Rental. All of the major companies are at the airport (10 minutes at the most) have shuttles running all day. When you go to the DHCR website it will tell you if there is a shuttle.
Kona is a little different since it is a tender port. There is an Thrifty/Dollar location in the King Kam (Courtyard Marriott). It may cost more but is certainly closer. The airport is about 20 minutes away with a lot of traffic. There is also an Enterprise which is walkable. You can check the DHRC site to see if there is a shuttle or if you have to walk.
Something to think about is Maui and Kauai which is an overnight. Will you rent for two days or one day? The parking for Kauai is $20 is at a nearby mall which does have a shuttle to the pier.
The parking for Maui is a little more complicated. It is recommended that you go back to the airport and park there for $13. If you are early enough in the evening, you can catch the shuttle back to the pier then the shuttle back to the airport in the morning. If it will be latter in the evening, you will need to call a cab.
Thanks!

Thanks. I'll check them out. How are they for location? While price is important, also looking for location (easy access to port)!
Thanks.

We are booked on NCLs Hawaiian Cruise and hope to learn from your experience. Which car rental company ( location and phone number if available ) would you recommend using while at each Port?
Honolulu, Oahu
Kahului, Maui
Hilo, Hawaii
Kona, Hawaii
Nawiliwili, Kauai
Any ports where getting a car, trying to do all self-guided excursions, where a car may not be needed?
Thanks in advance for your help and information.

We too are considering booking a Group Cruise and not sure I understand the issue you are concerned about. You are getting additional onboard credit and your promos will not have gratuities applied. What am I missing?

Deck 18 and 19 on the Escape are great for getting sun. Plenty of space.

Yeah I messed up and was unable to edit my post. They are for the Getaway . . . I guess I could repost.

I also had the unlimited package on the 12/3 sailing. My VPN worked, no issue. Email, web browsing and IM worked great. Did not try any video streaming. Net, serviceable internet.

These perks are for affinity groups only. If it's a freestyle group, then the perk for the free fare is 1 free fare for every 8 cabins booked.
What is an Affinity Group vs a Freestyle Group?

Congratulations!
If you don't mind, how much did you pay before bid?
just for statistic^^
I'm on the Escape 12/03/16 cruise.
Originally booked IX (inside Guaranty cabin) rates were 399p/p no perks.
09/22 got the email to bid on upgrades and put minimum bit 50p/p for a balcony.
Today the inside cabin were assigned on 12th deck mid-ship.
I guess they still can accept my bit in any moment before 48h
but anyway I'm going to be happy even with my original cabin.
My exact booking as well. Also today was assigned my inside cabin, Deck 11 Forward. Hope something comes through, but if not, not a bad price for our 3rd Cruise this year (1x in Haven).

Attached is a link to scans of the Freestyle Daily's for the September 11th Breakaway Cruise. It is a Google Drive, I hope this works:

Help! I tried to upload, but each pdf exceeds the size limitations for uploads to the site. What sites are you using to host your scans?
Thanks

Quick question we are going with a group of like 12 cabins and noone wants to buy the package except 2 cabins Can they? I was reading and it says
Beverage packages must be purchased for all guests staying within the same stateroom, additional stateroom, adjoining stateroom or travel with.
Individuals under the age of 21 will be required to purchase the Soda Program
So does that mean because we are a group they can't and that everyone under 21 has to buy the soda card?
From the Terms and Conditions:
Packages must be purchased by all qualifying individuals residing in the stateroom or additional staterooms under the same method of payment for the entire length of the cruise.
Same state room, yes. Additional staterooms, unless one person paid for all, they should not have to take the package.
