Forgive me...I am so confused! I have a Silver Cove Villa booked for April. Does this come with lagoon access or not? It ran us $500 before latitudes discount if that helps determine what we booked. No one on the phone has any idea what I am talking about with the lagoon! Either way I'm happy, just need to know what to tell DH when I tell him what I booked!

  2. There’s no limit on rcl. A new procedure was initiated Jan 1. If one Person purchases a beverage package. The other person in the room must purchase a refreshment package or a beverage package. Unless they have a medical reason.

Oh I forgot to add. This medical reason must be documented ahead of time!!! Call RCL for info.

  3. I did some searching and couldn't find anything useful. I'm considering a RCL cruise, I was on NCL last 2 cruises and there is a good thread about how the alcohol package works, is there anything like that for RCL? Like if there are any restrictions? I know Carnival limits it to 10 drinks a day while NCL has no limit. Also a guestimate on the cost?

  4. Does the Coral Princess usually dock at the same berth when in Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan? I’m trying to figure out walking distances to various places in each port.

    Thanks!

Skagway had a bus into town . I think it was 5$ each way. Really worth it because sometimes it’s very rainy and windy.

  5. Not to mention, if a lot of people do have colds, they may sell out. My DH got a cold on a 15 night cruise once ... many sea days and all sorts of people came onboard sick. Well, by the time he started feeling it come on, it was too late, the gift shop was all out of cold meds ... and we still had 5 days at sea to go so knew they wouldn't be replenishing them. Now, I always pack the entire medicine chest. Vicks makes a Nyquil / Dayquil pack and don't forget the cough drops. Oh and yes, we always take Airborne as well. We just picked some up at Costco earlier today for our next cruise.

And yes, you can definitely catch a cold or the flu in the Caribbean. Colds / flu are caused by a virus, not by cold weather. If someone brings a contagious illness onboard with them, they tend to share it with others.

You’re spot on! Also consider emergen c , pro biotic as well.

  6. When we did our Baltic cruise we used our CC with no foreign transaction fees everywhere, even for a bus ticket in Stockholm. When paying with CC you will be given the option to pay in the currency of your home country or local. For best rate of exchange always choose local.

As we often visit Eurozone we always have a supply of Euros and used them in Tallin. We didn't need local currency at all.

We were on Baltic capital cruise in September. We used a credit card that did not have international fees. When we needed cash we found that most countries took euros. Even St. Petersburg.
