It's pretty basic choice wise, but it was tasty enough and avoids the crush in the buffet, which is still jumping on day 3!

It all depends what you like.
Inside cabin on a TA in November, not for me either.

DCL food in the MDR is not great at all but Palo was not bad but Remy is, IMO the best at sea.

After lunch/muster etc, I just like to spend an hour or two unpacking and getting organized and then just relaxing on the balcony with a glass of something fizzy for sail away.
Then we think about what to do that evening and slowly ease into getting ready.

Don't think you're crazy for a short closed loop.
However, I personally wouldn't go anywhere without mine (or travel insurance) but in fairness I have traveled the world extensively so that comes into play.

Indeed, Tampa has lots to do and see. However, as a Gulf Coast resident, I wouldn't plan on beach time. Right now the gulf coast is inundated with red tide. It kills fish, which are deposited on the beach, and the stench is terrible. I live near the Sarasota beaches, which are just south of St. Petersburg and Tampa, and we have been avoiding the beaches. The issue is expected to last until mid-October. Lots of tourists are very disappointed in not being able to go to the beach.
Is this just very recently? We have spent a lot of time at the gulf coast beaches as recently as last week as we go at least once if not twice a week from AMI, St Petes, Treasure Island, Indian Rocks and a few further up to Tarpon and never noticed anything.

Americans don't tip normal local or long haul bus drivers, only tour bus drivers.

OBC = On Board Credit
This thread is discussing Refundable On-Board Credit
If not fully used it is automatically refunded to your Credit Card.
Just a bit of humour, saying he needs to leave his wife at home as they never have OBC left.

Has anyone gone to the Embarcation luncheon for concierge class cabins? I am wondering if it is worth going to. Any opinions on this?
It has to be better than fighting the crowds in OVC if you have the option.

Hi! I was just wandering around the site and saw this conversation. I thought I would mention my experience if that's ok?
Hubby and I recently had a family wedding to attend and part of the bridal stagette events was manicures and pedicures. Now.. I don't normally get manicures because I'm typing at a computer all day long and they chip very quickly. Seeing that it was a special event, I thought why not. I ended up getting gel polish which I'd never had before. What a nice surprise! The polish didn't chip once for the 3 weeks I had them! I went to a different place for a colour change about 1 1/2 weeks before the wedding (got robin egg blue with sparkles!) and it lasted for 4 weeks before I went and had them removed. My nail growth was just showing too much to not remove them. I've never had polish not chip before so this was amazing! I've very lucky that I inherited good nail genetics from my grandmother and mother so they didn't have to do any extensions on my nails. We're heading out for a cruise in a couple of weeks (YAY!!) so I'm going to be making an appointment with the salon for gel polish for sure!
Good to hear, I have had my color (Shellac) on 10 days and someone commented today how nice it was.
