Cheers is all new to me, so sorry for asking, but if I walk up to the coffee bar in the morning with mine & my husband’s S&S Cheers cards, will I be able to order for both of us?  Or does he have to be standing in front of the barista?  I tend to be an earlier riser, and like to eat a little bit by myself, and enjoy some “me time” on the deck, just watching the ocean.  Then, I head back to the cabin with a small breakfast something for hubby, so we can take our morning meds, grab the kids, then go eat breakfast together.  It sure would be nice to take advantage of the fancy coffee included with Cheers, without dragging the hubby there in the morning.

Yet something else you're "not supposed to do" but everyone does. You should have absolutely no problem. Especially after day 2 when they get to know you

  2. Sometimes I purposely missmell words, I'm a grammar gods glory treat. ;p Other times My smell checker plays tricks on me. Entertaining though :halo:.

Take G'ma on a cruise ,text her now !

Actually, somehow you have the uncanny ability to remind me of my grandma learning to text and a toddler who found a box of crayons. Bravo

  3. Easily one of my favorite balcony experiences was the cove. Being 10-15 feet from the water was surreal. Never had any issues with smell/noise in our room. If anything, I'm worried about our vista aft balcony coming up, sometimes the smell emanating from the back of the ship is noxious

  4. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha....

All of them is the simple and obvious answer. But drinkers will disagree. You can buy one of those airplane size bottles of whiskey at the local liquor store for 0.99, but pour that over ice on ship and you are paying what...$8 plus tip? And what is one of those aluminum bottles of bud light beer on ship...$6.25 plus tip? Seems to me a 6-pack is about that price at the local grocery, so over $7 for one cheap beer... Yeah, where can I sign up for that bargain of the century?

And the cheers package..is what $52 per day plus 15%..or about $420 for a 7-day cruise. $420...are you kidding me? Think how many hours you have to work at your job to NET that much. And then most even tip the waiter even more to ensure prompt service. Yikes! If I was going to drink that much, I was just hang out on my back patio and drink until I passed out. After 6-7 drinks, do you really care where you are..on a ship, patio or in some smokey dive bar?

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Luckily I am one that does not need to drink to enjoy myself, or make anything I am doing even more enjoyable, so I can easily refrain from such ridiculous prices in these types of situations I do drink on occasion. In fact, I will have a 22 oz draft tall-boy later today when we have our Fantasy Football draft. Of course, I will get there during happy hour prices and pay about $3 plus another $1 tip. Then they will comp me free soft drinks the rest of the night.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

For some of us the $50 a day PP isn't that big of a deal. I know for me the all inclusive experience is well worth the cost. I get it, some people don't make very much money so that definitely becomes an issue but the whole "I don't need to drink alcohol to have fun" is a cheap cop-out. Yes, the vast majority of us don't need alcohol to have fun but some people would get massive bills at the end of their cruise without cheers (seriously, the amount that some people drink is astonishing). So, I get it, you don't like paying the mark-up, I don't blame you but it seems like you really look down on people that do. Not everything in life is about the bottom dollar, sometimes you pay extra for the experience and there's nothing wrong with that

  5. As Carnival notes the lines waiting for BBQ, Guy's, etc. to open, one of their bean counters will figure out a way to sell another type of FTTF priority - faster to the food line.

I may be cynical, but I think there will be cruisers willing to pay extra to get to the food first.

I'd be one of those people, I hate waiting in line. Lol

  6. 9:30? You sleep in that late and it's the back row for you. The late risers will never win this battle ..... Best just to get up as early as those you dispise and claim your chair before they do. You simply can't sleep in with 5000 passengers aboard and actually expect to get a nice perfect seat next to the pool.

That's why I always get a balcony and now trying out the Havana cabins, hopefully I won't have this problem on my next cruise!

  7. Depending on what those drinks are, as little as four drinks a day can make cheers worth it. Just two bloody marys in the morning (at $12.50) and two alchemy drinks at night ($10.95) pays for cheers.

My gf always starts her days off drinking bloody Mary's in the morning and I just can't start my day off with booze! She loves it but I just don't understand how she can wake up and drink, so I just order a shot of grey goose and toss it in her BM lol

  8. Apparently you have little regard for rules. Can you imagine if all 4000 passengers had your attitude.

Carnival has been known to ban folks for breaking and or ignoring safety requirements. They can also have you held up going through customs. I can only hope you are dealt with accordingly if you go with the "about me"

attitude and try to disembark improperly. Oh.....hopefully you're not traveling with children as you set this fine example......

Hasn't happened yet, don't expect it to. And no, I don't have kids, I'm selfish (obviously) And I can't stand the little brats. It's just me and my gf and 2 backpacks of gear, I'm not waiting for however long when we are probably 2 of the most simple passengers to disembark

  9. Even with self assist you still have to wait on the Diamond, Platinum and FTTF. Then they go by decks. For those that do just head on down, you may or may not get turned back. I have seen employees turning people back especially if the Diamond, Platinum and FTTF have not exited yet.

But really, what are they going to Do? Blockade me from getting off the ship? Just like when beggars come asking for money, ignore them and keep walking and they give up within 10 feet. With 4000 people trying to get off the ship the crew doesn't want to make a big deal of it
