I have a boarding time of 1200hrs on Sunday for boarding the Golden so we will turn up at the Terminal just after 1130, no doubt the queue will be half way back to Melbourne city centre so can somebody throw me down a Fosters Oil Can as I get near the ship.;)

I will be doing the same on the Ovation for NYE and our travelling friends will be doing likewise.:D
Love your work, it's good to dress up and I know my wife likes me to look smart too.

I wear a long sleeved shirt and Trousers for Dinner each Night and a suit and tie for formal nights, it's something I don't get to do very often at home so when I am on a cruise I like to this. I wear boots and coveralls every day so it feels good to dress up a bit.

Holiday inn is a nice clean hotel in the middle of the city of Perth, you will be aware of this brand and know what to expect.

I am taking the drink package. it's easier and I know what I have spent, if you say now that it is $59 and not $73 I have already saved money. I did a cruise a couple of years ago on RCCL and had a drink package which worked well and the amount of people who regretted getting it as they boarded was huge.
see you in Melbourne at the sail away, roll on the 4th December.:D

Are you going on Golden? It never seems to be a problem with Princess. The boarding flows quite smoothly - as long as people remember to empty their pockets before they go through the security arch. Also some people prefer to board early, some later, some travel to the port on the day, some stay in a hotel overnight so like to go straight to the port once they check-out.
We like to board early so we can have lunch in the MDR (12-1:30pm). It's a nice way to start our cruise. :D Luckily we've now reached a level where we have priority boarding so that makes like easier. :D :D
yes we are on the Golden Princess, we are taking my Mother with us so I am trying to make it as smooth as possible.

What Captain Circle level are you? What cabin class are you traveling in? Both have an impact on when you can board.
we are in a mini suite and a Ruby Member and after this cruise we go to the next tier.

Thank you for the information, I will leave the hotel at about 11am then. I
suppose it doesn't really matter as we all get on anyway but keeping to the times stated would help with embarkation and the people who are trying to board us.;)

we are departing Melbourne 4/12/16 and have a boarding time of 12 noon, are Princess strict with boarding times or is it a free for all?
Staggered Boarding.
