  1. Although in fairness, a decent sparkling wine can be far more palatable than a bad champagne

I agree, there are some very nice Proseccos out there and some very harsh Champagnes, I think some would be surprised if they did blind tastings. The presumption that Champagne will be better is sometimes all down to marketing. I'm happy with whatever as long as it tastes good to me🥂[emoji4].

  2. I must say that in my almost fourteen years of sailing on Seabourn, which have included countless laundry services, I have never had anything boiled, shrunk or scorched, In fact, I have often said that I wish my cleaners at home would do as good a job as they do on Seabourn. And Seabourn charges less.

I must say that some comments have also made me feel for the staff onboard coping with all the laundry. I will confess to having the odd misshap with my own treasured garments, rare but no one is perfect. If people want to launder their own fine but don't knock the hard working staff.

  3. I have never been to Seabourn laundry and I guess I never will.

Life's too short to be doing laundry on vacation.

Good luck to those that feel the need to spend time in the laundry room

I have to agree I'm afraid and I'm a housewife[emoji137]I want to spend every moment enjoying my well earned holiday and pack / use pay laundry as needed. Must admit an iron and ironing board has made an appearance in a hotel room at times but as far as I'm aware any hotels I've stayed at don't have a self serve laundry anyway. I've only ever looked in one laundry room on a cruise ship out of curiosity and it appeared small, claustrophobic and busy to the point of why stress yourself out, I'd rather chat to fellow travelers in a much nicer spot.🥂[emoji4]

  4. If it was me and a one off incident I would have made it my business to track down Ems & Mrs Able Seaman around the ship and apologise directly. A 15 second conversation and all is resolved. The fact this hasn't happened suggests angry woman might see this as routine behaviour.

    Henry :)

I'm of that mind set also, everyone can regret hasty actions but I wouldn't settle until I'd apologised to them in person, I'd feel so embarrassed every time I came across them and would have to apologise, not that I'd do it in the first place thought, I wouldn't sleep!

I understand the spa will be run by another company but the fact they run that particular business salon on Seabourn to my mind should mean they sing from Seabourn's hymn sheet.

  5. Looking at the brochure I am under the impression the sun beds at the front on deck 12 are for anyone's use and I will be very disappointed if they become part of the fee paying Cabana area. This space is my favourite go to place for catching the sun and peace and quiet for reading a book. I think the Shuffleboard may have disappeared for the sake of the Cabanas which was also a favourite little competition between us [emoji17]

  6. Wonderful photos so exciting. I have a feeling the Cabana area means there are no Shuffleboard courts anywhere which is a shame as we love this traditional ship activity. Would appreciate a quick photo if possible of the complimentary sun beds on deck12 and any outdoor activity we could do. We are on board next July and can't wait. Wishing you a wonderful trip and I look forward to all your observations and photos.

  7. This could possibly work in favour of the customer as I'm sure they will be fully focused on trying to regain any lost ground especially with the 2 new ships coming into service. We're on Encore next July and I'm not worried in the least about our time on board as I know it will be fabulous [emoji4][emoji4][emoji898].

  8. Just joined this very informative site and hopefully someone can help me here. I had no idea about the coupon so please bear with me.[emoji848]

We have cruised with Seabourn once before (Sept 2011) but have never been in receipt of a coupon to pass to anyone.

As we are booked for the Encore in July of next year, and have persuaded our best friends to join us who have never cruised at all before, both of us would be over the moon to have some OBC.

How do I go about getting one of these vouchers to then gift to them so we both can have the credit. Many thanks in anticipation of your patience with me.[emoji4][emoji4]
