  1. Ok folks, it's almost 1:00am, I've watched the Cubs achieve their historic victory, and I'm tired. I'll continue this review tomorrow. I hope you're enjoying it so far. Next up: Stateroom Tour and Sailaway!

Great Win for the Cubs, I stayed out celebrating past 2am and now I'm very tired at work!!

Cant wait for the rest of your review I will be on the pride on Dec 11th.

  2. All of these anecdotes of people being denied top shelf under CHEERS! is becoming slightly alarming. Has anyone bothered to ask John Heald about it?

I was thinking on sending him a message on Saturday. He mentioned on his live video this morning he prefers if most questions wait till Saturday since he is preparing for his trip to get on the vista

  3. We are just off the 10/9 Conquest sailing. We purchased the Cheers package for the cruise. I tried to order a drink from the tequila bar that was made with cheap tequila and asked for it to be made with patron instead. I was told by the bartender that this couldn't be done. I was under the impression that you could have a drink made with an upgraded liquor. Am I wrong? Thanks!

you can certainty upgrade to top shelf liquor and "most" bartenders when they get to know you and know you have cheers will continue to do so. However this may not be done with certain drinks that have pre-mixed contents.

Example one of my favorite drink is the Fun ship. when I was on the conquest I asked the great bartender at the Atrium bar to upgrade the liquor so he explained to me and showed me the bottle that the tequila and vodka was already pre-mixed with the juice and all he added additional was the brandy and something else so even though he is still mixing some ingredients some had already been pre-mixed. I even watched another bartender make a batch of the funship pre-mixed drink.

so I think he may have not explained that it was already pre-mixed with the tequila he was showing you. So my opinion it may be have the lack of communication. some bartenders are better than others. when I cruise I go to different bartenders with my own personal request until I find one that I think its great. and of course I always tip them well.

  4. we sailed out December 26th last year and hit great weather, we were wearing shorts and lounging in the sun 1st sea day. We've sailed mid march and had snow when we left and cold first and last sea day. I guess it depends on mother nature! Either way enjoy!

thank you! that's exactly what I plan to do just enjoy it as cold as it is or as warm as it is. We will be prepared for cold weather in case we get really low temps. so we should not be disappointed.

  5. We sailed back to Baltimore on Pride relocation cruise end of March 2015.

Temp dropped like a rock the last day going down to 20 or so and we both were sick a day or two later.

DW and I decided than winter cruises are round trips out of Florida from now on

makes complete sense, I would prefer warm weather and fly to florida like I did last year. however we wanted to try one out of a winter port so we will be expecting cold weather and hoping to be prepared. we wan to compare experiences.

  6. We sailed out of Baltimore, but it was in April, and it was a bit chilly then.

But a cruise is a cruise. And yes, us New Englanders EXPECT the cold weather.:D:D

Another Connecticut cruiser here. Where are you? We are in Newington, right outside of Hartford.

    Happy Sailing!!!

HI there, I am from east Harford not too far from you... based on the weather lately I'm hoping for a good winter and not many snowstorms. I keep hearing it may be a very snowy winter!!

  7. thanks everyone, that confirms my thoughts. I figured the first 2 days were going to be cold and the last sea day. This is a birthday celebration cruise and also part of a mother and daughter bucket list. we have 100 things to do/bucket list as mother and daughter and we had listed a winter cruise leaving a "winter port". so this will complete one off that list about 85 to go. she is 15 now and we just started last year.

  8. Hello Everyone, I've cruised in the past during the early fall season. Always from a Florida port flying into Florida from Connecticut. This time around we are driving to Baltimore and cruising on the Price on December 11th. now I have done my research so this is something I have not read much about.

so past cruisers out of Baltimore in December, when have you noticed in gets warmer?

I know it will be cold its December and I am a new England girl so I know we are expecting cold weather
