Might be some rock bottom itineraries after cruise lines are active again.
December, especially after mid month, is high season.

Which ncl ships do you really want to book? Why?
I'm not huge on go carts, laser tag, virtual reality, etc but I certainly get their mass appeal. I wonder how many book specific ships due to exclusive features as opposed to just newness of ship, itinerary, cost, and so on.
I'd really like to book a ncl ship with full length broadway show in my entertainment wheelhouse(I'm kind of a jukebox musical guy). Add that to the Free at Sea (dranks! Specialty restaurants) and I'm a happy guy.

on the Escape I really liked the Teppanyaki. wife loved Cucina, especially the lasagna which may or may not be on the menu moving forward.
Cagneys was enjoyable and Moderno was certainly a meatfest. all were quite nice.

The MSC website is firewalled at my work location. no other airline, cruise line, or travel website is. baffling.
I tried to research on my cel via MSC app and that was a nightmare. (mainly because I didn't clink the "view full site" link at the bottom of the page, didn't see it).
Eventually I wound up calling the 800# and booking cruise. I was ok with that, but not thrilled with the experience. some things I was quoted were not accurate.
We joined the Voyager's Club and contacted them directly. They made ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD. A+ experience, couldn't be happier. we wound up upgrading original selections, as it turns out.
just an fyi.

Wander. Find your own spots.
Im partial to having a drink at Captain Tonys. Finding a cuban sandwich. Hitting Margaritaville gift shop for a tshirt. Turtle Kraals. Louies Backyard.
And i must admit i love the sunset at Mallory Square, at least once per trip.
And grabbing a chocolate milk at Fausto's.

We were on Escape over Halloween, Tortola was the highlight of the trip.
Specifically chillin' on Marina Cay, almost had island to ourselves.

Assigned this cabin and looking for information on the balcony. Has anyone stayed in this cabin? Is the balcony different from the others?
A bit like searching for a needle in a haystack, im afraid

Only drink price I remember from ncl trip last month: knob creek on rocks, $20.
Highest I've seen anywhere on earth. Buyer beware.

I spent majority of time in Falmouth at Margaritaville pool. Specifically near the swim up bar.

This is peculiar. Room stewards thoroughly clean rooms, although I realize small items could conceivably get lost in shuffle.
I can't fathom a cruise line would request to search your bags. I have no temper whatsoever but I personally wouldn't respond very well to that request. Get the eff outta here...

I recommend TA research. I looked at Bonaire a while back and don't recall any option knocking my doors off.
I've had much success booking independent excursions over past few years. However, we had crap weather last month in St thomas. Happened to book catamaran via NCL. Every other cat cancelled that day, ours didn't. Cruise line gave us option for full refund if desired. I was impressed with that option.

The buffet seems more apropos, perhaps? Let him hand select what he will consume.
Chicken nuggets nightly doesn't seem like such a bad game plan considering the alternative you described above. Godspeed.

I've done Breeze and Escape, so not an exact comp.
Food - escape, by good margin
Drinks - much cheaper breeze
Outdoor films - breeze by a ton
Balcony rooms - no difference
Shopping - breeze
Casino - escape
Daily events - breeze
Lido - breeze
Cruise directors - tie
Live bands - tie
Embarkation and disembarkation - escape by good margin
Truthfully, I don't think you can go wrong either way. I love CCL and NCL. 7 days vs 6 is a mismatch, unless one itinerary is much better.

Book cagneys and hibachi asap, they had very limited times mid afternoon on departure day.
The Italian and Brazil places were easier, we loved them all.
Dinner theatre was the easiest of all, but it sold out after first couple days.

Just got back last month from ncl escape.
All musters were done indoors in large public places. Granted, it was raining at departure but I loved seeing safety talk while seated in theater.

I've seen folks absolutely lose their religion after being cut off at 15 drinks. I'm 100% behind the max limit.
Disclosure: I'm a former bartender who took responsibility to cut off the overserved seriously, as a matter of public safety.
At least the ship captain is handling the navigation and not the 15 drink person. But, there are plenty of places on a ship that an obliterated person can harm themselves.

I'm a pretty big sports fan who took halloween cruise this year on ncl, during world series.
Sure I would have liked to see the games, but I think my wife liked having us see all the shows and eat dinner together for 7 consecutive days.
Sports will be on the tube when I get back from a cruise. I like unplugging for a week.
That said, ncl could ditch cnbc, msnbc, fox news or BBC. At least 1 or 2, tooooooo much politics. Yawn. Add a travel channel or food channel or Turner owned channel.

We flew to San Juan last year for this cruise, landed day before and had extra day to visit Old San Juan.
I loved every port on this itinerary.
Go for it!

Excess of FCC over new cruise costs
in Norwegian Cruise Line

Wouldn't the 20% discount be off rack rate?
I don't see many bargains out there for Q4 or 2021 and I'm not confident all the cruise ports will be accepting passengers immediately upon cruises starting up again.
