  1. Finally taking my Alaskan cruise after having to cancel 3 previous ones.  I am sailing October 15 - 22, 2022 in an aft balcony room.  Any previous cruisers seen the Northern Lights from the ship?

  2. We are going on Princess September 2020 on a cruisetour through a Big Box Store.  We have 1 night in Fairbanks, 2 nights in Denali and 2 nights in Mt. McKinley. It includes a riverboat tour, all transportation , all our lodging, Natural History tour into Denali Park, and the train from Talkeetna to Whittier to board the ship. We then have a 7 day cruise which includes Hubbard Glacier, Glacier Bay, Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, a day at sea and disembark in Vancouver.  We are adding an extra day in Fairbanks due to flying from the East Coast.

  3. I am sailing September 2020 and have already used part of my OBC for 2 excursions, balcony breakfast and balcony dining on glacier days.  I am doing a 5 day land tour before and 2 excursions there are included.  The only thing I have left to do is car rental in Skagway (they don't book this far out) and a hotel for the first night since all the flights get to Fairbanks from the East Coast after Midnight.

  4. I have booked a 12 day cruisetour for September 2020 already.  Have used OBC to book 2 excursions as well, just in case they fill up.  I also wanted a particular room and there are only 2 of its kind on the ship.  Makes paying for it easier too, as I just pay some every month.

You will love  that  cabin  and large  deck.  Where  are you sailing??

We are doing a 12 day cruisetour to Alaska September 7, 2020.  We had a mid ship balcony then I changed to L108 and then finally M108.  Someone must have cancelled as it showed book since last year.  Called the big box store and they moved me right to it.  Super excited!

  6. I have done this 2 other times on another line.  A lot more bang for you buck on Princess it sounds like!  I am boarding in Whittier after a 5 day land tour next year.  We don't get to the ship from Denali until about 5:30PM.  Fingers crossed that I can surprise my boyfriend with this tour!

  7. First time cruising on Princess.  My boyfriend and I each have $100 OBC for being in a mini-suite and he has an extra $100 Military benefit.  Our cruise isn't until September 2020, but will we be able to use any before the cruise for an excursion or towards a coffee card?  Right now it only gives me the option of a credit card or Paypal.

Log into your cruise personalizer and click on the schedule.  Then click on the "View Details" for the first day and if it is like mine it will tell you the name of the place you will stay at.  Mine says we are at the Princess Riverside Wilderness Lodge.

Mine doesn't show anything yet, but maybe because it is so far out.  I will keep checking though!

  9.

I just booked a cruisetour for next year.  I was wondering if anyone knows what hotel they use in Fairbanks?  We are there the first night and then travel to Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge and then Mt. McKinley Princess Wilderness Lodge.

    Thanks - SandJ

Thanks.  I cannot believe I missed it.

Is the Tundra tour the only excursion that is included with the Connoisseur package?  Did you book land excursions in advance?

There are several Connoisseur packages.  Some include the Sternwheeler cruise and Gold Dredge.  There is also a brand new one that is including a catamaran cruise to Whittier.  I have been researching for a year and am booking first thing when they go on sale.  Have very brochure mailed to me to compare tours.  We are doing land first then cruise.  You can see all the tours and itineraries if you do a search and select crusietours only.

  12. What exactly does this mean " Balcony access when in port only"?  We are going to Alaska so does this really mean when cannot use the balcony except when docked in port?  These are balcony rooms on the front of the ship.
