My husband and I are sailing on Icon of the Seas in late April. I booked a gty OV balcony in May.  My very first time doing this, nervously.  However, this was the best way we could afford the trip and my husband wants to meet up with his family that are also sailing that date. I was surprised that about 3 wks ago our room was assigned. 

Nice pics. I'll be sailing her June 14. Im like the tour guide for my family. This will be the first cruise for my parents, brother, and sister in law. I hope I picked a good ship and they will enjoy their first cruise. I don't even think I'll get a day of rest. It's so port intensive, although I've been to all the islands already at least once. Ive been on Destiny and enjoyed it although had mixed reviews.

I was on Destiny 2006 Lido deck. We did not hear any noise. Actually deck was very quiet. There are doors that open and close upon entering stateroom area. Loved getting up and not having to take elevators to get food at buffet, where I had most lunches and breakfasts.
