  1. Pictures depended on how many people were in your group. They have wrist band trackers that you can bring to the desk to get a thumb drive. I think it $29 for 1-2 people and went up slightly from there.

We were on RCCL, but it looked like all the excursions were kind of grouping together and taking people to Lost Kingdom on a shuttle periodically. We waited maybe 10 minutes.

We didn't have a GoPro, but I think I saw someone with one. Not completely sure.

Locker rental was not expensive. I think $5.

  2. My kids were 10 and 12. My niece and nephew were 8 and 10. The younger three spent a lot of time at the kids club on Princess. We also had both an indoor and an outdoor pool so they swam every day. My older child spent a lot of time with the adults looking at scenery or playing games with us. They also attended several lectures with us (didn't give them a choice). We found they had too much to do. I was hoping for more quiet family time.

  3. We only did private excursions. The only one that was close to the time we were leaving was a fishing charter that got members of our family back 30 minutes prior to departure. We knew it would be tight as we only had 6 hours in port for a 4 hour tour. All got us back at exactly the time we expected. These are tiny towns. No traffic. Little to delay people. I guess its possible the Skagway railway could break down, but being the cruise line uses the same railway, ship excursion guests would have the same delay as private.

  4. We used both outdoor and indoor pools most days on our end of May/beginning of June.

Most things open by the beginning of June if not beginning of May. We did not have anything closed even though we were early in the season.

  5. I'm from ND. I wore everything from leggings to jeans with long underwear underneath for our cruise at end of May beginning of June. I did also get a sunburn our first day in Alaska because it was so warm.

  6. Is it a direct flight? I don't think I would do it with a connection because too much can go wrong with you and your luggage. I would probably take the early morning flight and tour around Anchorage.

It isn't a mountain road but its not flat or straight. Its a pretty drive. If flying late in that day, I would take a princess transfer. Book in advance as there is no way to get there without pre-arrangements. If flying in the day before or early that morning, I would see what other tours you can book on the way. There is a nature center on the way, which we did. It was good. There also small boat glacier tours.

  7. Just back from May 27-June3 NB.

Approximately 150 kids on board according to posted registrations for kid's club. We had a hard time getting my 11 year old out of the kid's club, he liked it so much. My 12 year old preferred adults and scenery.

Only rain was during sea day and after Glacier Bay. College Fjord was very beautiful weather. Used our balcony every day, although some days were bundled up. Managed to get sunburned falling asleep on the balcony after Ketchikan.

I have patters but not menus. I will try to get those up.

  8. You can email Snorkel Alaska if your little one is close to but not quite 80lbs. He said there is an extra vest that helps children who are 70 lbs fit the wet suits. Our trip isn't here yet, but we plan on trying with our child who is currently 75 lbs.
