Since you are flying in the night before and you’re flying Southwest, is it a possibility to divide and conquer your list a little? Could you pack the items you only need for the land portion of your trip in a separate bag and have the hotel you’ll be staying at store the bag until you return from your cruise? Most of the hotels I’ve stayed in will do that free of charge. Of course, it might be a tiny hassle to get the bag to the hotel before you embark, but then you could potentially have the best of both worlds. Traveling a little lighter but still having access to everything you want/need. The hassle might not be worth it to you, but I always think about ways to travel lighter without sacrificing my peace of mind.

Considering the possibility of renting a car while we are in port in Skagen, Denmark. I have great grandparent buried about 40 min away and am considering visiting the area where they lived and died. Wondering if I’m crazy to think about it.

Thanks for sharing. I’m on this next year and love hearing any experiences.

We are going in July- my son is in high school and has water polo tryouts in August each year, so that eliminates that time as vacation for us.
We are on the Jun 24 sailing for this same reason. Water Polo Junior Olympics are in July, so we had to plan June. And High School in August

My family and I —me, husband, son (17) and daughter (13) — will be on the Brillance of the Seas sailing from Amsterdam on Jun 24, 2019. This is my son’s senior trip and he got to choose the itinerary. Both my kids are history and culture fans, so they are excited for the ports.
Anyone doing a Baltic cruise NEXT summer (2019)?
