  1. We're on your same cruise and booked at Sandy Toes, as well. I called ST and asked, and she said we'd be fine. I've watched Amazing Race enough times - hopefully we shall find a way! :) See you there!
I've watched Amazing Race enough to know that we'd be the team that has the taxi disaster! :D I cancelled the reservation just to be safe. Too bad. It really seems as if Rose Island is exactly what we are looking for. I've booked a snorkel trip through Carnival. I'm sure it won't be the same experience but I had people here on CC and on Facebook tell me that is was too risky.
  2. Hi all, we are in Nassau with Carnival Liberty 4/417 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sandy Toes website states that we will return to their dock on Paradise Island Ferry Terminal at 3:45 p.m. And then they state that it is a 7-10 minute taxi ride to the Carnival port. Am I cutting it too close on time? We have never cruised so I have no idea how soon we need to be back to the ship for boarding for 5pm departure.

  3. The dress code on Carnival is not complicated and really doesn't warrant a long thread several times per week. Martini Mom and Beachbum gave very good responses; just use some common sense and you will be fine.

Thanks for bumping me back to the top. ;)

  4. Cruising on Liberty in a few weeks and am trying to plan my packing. We are eating the first night in the Steakhouse and the rest in the MDR. I see that MDR is cruise casual which includes "long dress shorts" in the definition. Is it common for folks to wear nice shorts with a nice polo/golf shirt in the MDR? If so, what type of shoes can men/boys wear?

Also, what is proper dress attire in the Steakhouse?

  5. A few more questions:

    1. I just purchased FTTF. I had previously selected 11:30 am as my check-in time. What time should I now show up?

    2. My kids are not big soda drinkers, any other reason to get the Bubble Card (or whatever its called)? My son does drink the occasional soda but they also like water, juice, smoothies, specialty "coffee" drinks, etc...

  6. Hi all, first time cruiser here with a couple of questions.

    1. When pre-checking in I'm given the choice of King or two Twins. There are 4 of us; mom, dad, 2 preteens. What would be the best selection?

    2. Someone told us to bring walkie talkies for communication when we're all running around in different directions. Wouldn't the HUB app IM be a better solution?

    3. We are booked with an oceanview room. Any reason to inquire about the availability of a balcony room?

    4. Should we bring our own beach towels or are the ship towels fine for excursions?

    Thanks in advance!
