Thanks for the info!
I have tried to Google and find out who it was for a few weeks, and could not find it.
Luckily for us it was not a big deal to change our dates so we could keep the same itinerary, but I know others are not as fortunate.
I guess my only concern is that this will result in the other sailings being more crowded. We changed our date to October 17, 2020, which is still during the school year for the US, so we will just have to wait and see.

I am concerned that we won't get the same choice of cabin by having to change our booking - not sure how fast the ships fill up. I know they guarantee the same stateroom category, but we are sailing with friends and did originally have adjoining balcony cabins (2D) on Deck 7.
We got $100 in OBC.
Thanks again for the explanation and responses!

Just got notification that our cruise has been cancelled due to a 'charter', whatever that means.
We are going Oct 17 instead, same itinerary.
Has anyone else had this happen, and what exactly does it mean?
Thanks.

Thanks for the responses!
We are looking forward to it, as far as it being a long ship, we will up our daily steps in preparation!

We are booked on Independence of the Seas on Nov 9, 2020 out of Ft Lauderdale, and so far the price has stayed at $65 per day pp. Hoping it goes down before our cruise!

Hi everyone - we have prviously been on 2 Carnival cruises, going on RCL's Independence of the Seas Nov 9, 2020, to CocoCay and Falmouth. We have balcony cabins 7568 and 7566. Does anyone have any reviews of these cabins? Also, do they make out into twins? We are 1 couple and 2 single female friends traveling together. It looks like the divider on the balcony can be opened to give access to each other's rooms.
We are excited about cruising on RCL, and appreciate any input from experienced cruisers on Independence of the Seas.
We are also watching for discounts on the deluxe beverage package, any idea when typically happen?
Thanks for any information anyone can give!

14 Days! We leave Dec 11 on the Valor for our 1st cruise!

Hi all - We are going on our 1st cruise on the Carnival Valor out of Port Canaveral. Somewhat disappointed when we learned they were shortening our cruise to 3 days from 4, but they are giving us a 25% discount, and $50 in on board credit, so we are going to go ahead and take the deal. I considered using the money to upgrade from our oceanview to a balcony, but not sure it's worth it for such a short time. I am looking for ideas on shore excursions - Segway or ATV probably, but they are both getting mixed reviews

We are taking our 1st cruise (30th anniversary) on the Carnival Valor on December 11. We were very disappointed to learn they have shortened the cruise from 4 to 3 days. Some people have said it does not matter, since we are only losing the 'Day at Sea', but that is the part I was looking forward to! Others have also said since Carnival is refunding part of the price, and giving an onboard credit, that it is well worth it, and especially since this is our 1st cruise. We have SO MANY questions! Does anyone have an opinion as to what they think we should do? I hate to cancel, as we have had this booked for almost a year. Thanks!
At cocoa cay now and wondering...

We are going on Oct 17 in Independence OTS.
hoping the water will still be fairly warm as the summer season will just be ending.
Living in Florida has caused our blood to thin substantially - when I saw 76 degrees water temp in an earlier post, my thought was 'No way"! LOL.
We sailed last December with Carnival, and the water in the pool on the ship was freezing!
