Good stuff so far. Hopefully make it on an Oasis class soon. My travel buddy (younger brother) decided he liked cruising so much that he booked a journey with the US Navy.
Enjoy your trip!

Good to see that the Letterkenny Shamrocks have a good feeder system.

It's not weather that is keeping Anthem from Coco Cay, so why is it being canceled? Any other ships scheduled in the next 2 weeks being canceled, or just Anthem? We understand itinerary can be changed, but just wonder what the reason is. Also our cruise planner still says Coco Cay, so there aren't any Miami excursions listed and we only have 7 days until sailaway to sort it out. Very frustrating.
Of course it isn't weather... but it could be. Unfortunately if they were to cancel Coco Cay the day of due to weather I would rather not be floating around at sea. A stop is better than nothing.

Many way of figuring out if he’ll still be on board for the Feb 17 sailing. He was with us a couple years back and he is a hoot and a half. So hoping he’s still on board when we sail.
He is off on February 10. Then on Anthem from February 15 to July 4, with some break weeks.

Gotta go check out Matt Yee's show in the Schooner Bar tonight. Fun sing-along. Enjoy!

Enjoy your trip. Awesome deal on all those upgrades. Brother and I booked this trip shortly after itineraries for Symphony released but changed to sail Anthem a few weeks ago. Wouldn't have been able to make this one but ended up sailing anyways. Will be following along.

The first time I went to Jamie’s Italian our waiter absolutely buried us in food. We would order something and he would bring out another dish that he felt complemented what we had ordered. It was an awesome experience (3 years ago) that we still joke about. A few months later sailed with family and managed to get the same server and the experience was just as good. Impossible to eat it all but worth it. Growing up in an Italian household I feel it wouldn’t be authentic if the amount of food didn’t outweigh the possible intake of those at the table.

I’m with you on the fries. Some days that would be all I would eat (damn you schooner bar) for lunch. The perfect cure.

Thanks for the tip! Do they allow you to change the date of your reservation under the BOGO? I’d like to see the MDR dinner menus if possible beforehand, so we go on a night when the MDR menu is less appealing than other nights.
Technically it is supposed to be used the first two nights. I had one hostess offer to check to see if they could move one of my reservations to day 3 to accommodate Wonderland as it was sold out... didn't bother going through the hassle.

Thanks for the great review so far. I've done this itinerary twice and have done just about everything I could have without paying for an excursion. Hoping you made it to the awesome mini golf course on your second day there? We shall see. I can eat at Wonderland every night as it is an experience that I can't get nearby on land.

It is due to the high winds in the area due to the storm. Have a friend on board.

I prefer the liquid lunch options at the Schooner Bar. I'm never late for lunch there.
I have never seen a hot dog sitting in liquid on any of my trips, and I have eaten my fair share of perfectly crisp fries on a daily basis. I guess we all can't be spoiled by cruise lines of the likes of Carnival. Maybe next time I'll have to try out one of those rust buckets just so I can have a Guy Fieri burger.

Hi! New here, but what did you think of 6556? We are booked in that cabin for next April.
It's in a great spot. I'm there in November.

Since you are at port in Bermuda for 2 days straight...is there a preferred side of boat or a way to figure out which side is best for view from balcony?
You don't always dock on the same side. It depends on what lifeboat drills they plan on running.

Going on the Anthem in 2019 Q1. Is the quest played in the Anthem? 2. How does dining work and is there a problem in the smaller restaurants getting a table for 8?
The quest is played in the Two70 lounge/theatre. The dining is split. One deck offers two dining rooms for traditional seating dining where you will be at the same table every night of the cruise. The other two dining rooms are for "my time dining" where you may have a set time but can basically arrive when you would like and will be placed at an empty table. Wait times vary depending on the time of night you show up for my time dining.
I am not versed on dining with a large group so I don't know how easy/difficult getting a table for 8 will be. I also avoid the main dining rooms.

What cabins did you have on deck 6, and was your view obstructed? We are on deck 6 port side near the forward elevators. Also, is the port side the smoking side, and if so, was there any problem with smoke smell? TIA
I've been in 6554 and 6556 which are starboard and unobstructed. The smoking area is starboard but towards the aft.

Our cruise is November as well. So that’s $6 off the regular $60 plus the Voom package seems to be thrown in. So seems a good deal? It’s just hard when the drink package is the same price as our cruise
To be fair I can purchase just the drink package at $45 USD/day, $58 CAD/day. If you can survive without internet for 4 days you may be able to save some money. If you drink a lot while on vacation it is totally worth it. Buying per drink will cost you way more if you start having too much fun.
-
Currently the drink+voom is being offered on my November cruise at $54pp/day (USD), or about $70 CAD.

I have sailed Anthem four times. Have done deck 6 balconies just off of forward elevator twice and a guarantee balcony that landed us midship on deck 12. The overhang is actually over the deck 13 balconies. Our fourth time we stayed in an interior with virtual balcony on deck 8... not really a fan of interiors, but the location was great near the forward elevators.
Back on in November and staying in the same deck 6 rooms we have been in before. I like the ability to just walk out my door and down the stairs to the Schooner bar, or hop the elevator and straight up to the Solarium.

I jumped in on page two but took a wrong turn and landed here. Looking forward to pages 5-100!

Stopped by Sorrentos last night.
Pizza still tastes like a bad frozen pizza.. But it was PACKED.
RCI will never change anything about the pizza if it is always that busy. I feel like those of us griping about the pizza on CC are the vocal minority.

If you are unhappy about the quality of the pizza then your drink package isn't doing its job. Get to work.

Wow, that is really exciting to actually see the mythical (well, now not-so-mythical) island of Coco Cay. I'm 0/2 on my Anthem trips.

Thanks Amber! As to your question, I think, and hopefully someone with more knowledge chimes in but there is a coffee bar in the Windjammer that I think you could get one.

Your other option is to go to any bar and order a shot and mix it yourself. The sunrise bar in the solarium opens early.
