I was on the April 8 -14, 2018 Freedom of the Seas cruise. Had a great time.

 

Unfortunately, I forgot to bring home the Cruise Compasses.

 

Any chance any one from my sailing or a previous recent sailing of the Western route has a copy of the Cruise Compass that contains the profile of the Crew including the Captain etc?

We walked to the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas http://nagb.org.bs/ (pretty cool, small art museum) and John Watlings is a few minutes walk past it. Free short tour too. We bought rum and a really nice gluten free vodka.

I have arrived to my homeland! I will be crashing at the W Fort Lauderdale tonight.

Eastern vs Western Caribbean:

Doug, did you notice any difference in the ship's movement? Was the western route smoother or was "the shimmy" (haha) the same for both routes? ~Heather

WE LOVE MEGA !!! The first time we went, we found various flavors of ice cream (with candy bars and other US products in them) that we don't have here, so the second time -- I carried plastic spoons and we had ice cream in their dining area. They also had an interesting flavor selection of Doritos and Ruffles... and Oreos. Soda usually has cane sugar, instead of HFCS.

 

Is it sad that we're really looking forward to seeing what Mega has when we get there in 2 weeks ??!?!

HA! I am glad my husband and I aren't the only ones who liked MEGA.

If you get the chance check out the Mega grocery store within walking distance of the port. We bought cheap Mexican coffee and other souvenirs. http://cozumelmexico.net/Mega_supermarket/
