  1. Cruised on Allure btw 12-19 of Febr and we had MTD.

We really liked the idea to go eating whenever we felt like. We usually ended up around 7.30 - 8.15 and the longest we had to wait was for 10 minutes. We started with a drink while waiting for the table. It was very smooth! It was me and my husband and we got a table for 2 every night.

Enjoy your Cruise! We had the best vacation ever :D

  2. Champagne Bar - located on deck 5 this quickly became our pre dinner drink destination. This is not the place to go if looking for a frozen cocktail as there is no blender. However they offer a very unique selection of Champagne mixed beverages such as a champagne mojito and a champagne margarita. This location also has the absolute best pour in terms of volume of wine in your glass and it is not even close.

Hello! I wonder if the drink package includes any champagne ?

  3. Hi there!

Is it manageable to go on your own excursions on the islands (Bahamas, St Marteen and St Thomas in our case)?

Is it too much hassle to arrange taxi to go to a nice beach for relaxing?

Or is it more convenient and affordable to join up the Cruise excursion?

I'm aware of it's induvidual how you prefer to do your trips, but as it's limited of time we would just like to go straight to the beach and then back to the ship in reasonable time.

    Thx/Nina:)

  4. Royal Caribbean is getting better at keeping the lines reasonable, so I don't that is much the concern as it used to be. But, since this is your first cruise, I think you should get on board as early as possible (around 11:00) because the adventure of just exploring the ship is a wonderful experience in of itself. Just driving up to the ship for the first time raises your euphoria to a level you will never forget.

It's all new and wonderful. Have a great time.

I really am so excited to go NOOOOWWWWWW :D

  5. While on a trip to St. John I took an early ferry over to St. Thomas to meet Allure of the Seas and made a no-frills video with my iPhone of her arrival in port. Such a beautiful ship and we can't wait to sail her again soon. Video playback speed was doubled as the captain eased her in on a beautiful December morning in the USVI.

WOW, that's Amazing! What a big ship and how good isn't the captain :)

  6. Noise will not be a factor (and rarely is) as you will have staterooms above and below you. It connects with stateroom 7672, but the connecting doors will be locked between the rooms unless both parties want them to be opened. The view is fine - no obstructions. Location is very good with respect to the elevator lobby and stairwell - very convenient. The MDR is on decks 3-5 so this is close to that as well.

    Enjoy your cruise!

Many thanks for your good information @leaveitallbehind :)

  7. Nina,

As to what time to board - the hotels in the area have a checkout time of 11am and I'm sure you have found many hotels include breakfast with your stay. So sleep in until 8 or 9, get ready, go have breakfast and checkout of your hotel and head on over to the port around 11:00. Most ships start boarding around 11 - 11:30. Have a great cruise. Allure is an amazing ship and you should have a wonderful cruise!

Sounds like a good plan :D

Really are excited to board the ship!

  8. Welcome to CC. So excited for you to enjoy your first cruise. I am sure you are going to love it and be hooked. Most people arrive between 11 and noon. If you are leaving from Miami, the port is great and we have never had to wait long to board there. Have a terrific cruise and don't forget to pack your swimsuit and hat in your carry on so you can enjoy the pool while you are waiting for your bags to arrive. You usually don't get into your room until after 1:30. We usually grab lunch, head to a pool or hot tub and relax until our room is ready. Have a great trip.

Thx alot for your good advise! Will pack some good things to have in the handluggage :)

  9. Hello, just joined this forum as I and my man are gonna go cruising on ALLURE OF THE SEAS in Febr 12th 2017.

It's our first time ever on a big ship cruising for one week.

I am reading all the threads re the Allure and found it most helpful and loads of useful tips :)

As the ship leaves at 4.30 pm when is the best time to be at the port, meaning less people and standing in line?

well, more thoughts and questions will certainly pop up, I'm sure :o

    Thx for now,

    Nina
