We are on a 3 day comedy cruise and I was wondering if (like with the other cruise lines) you are able to bring a bottle of wine (one per person) on board on embarkation day?

Cruise booked transfers aren't necessary or recommended.
Try using a private car service like Dial7 or Carmelimo...google these for info on booking.
Ashland thank you so much. Thats great, I have looked them both up and will book closer to the time. I really appreciate your help!

Hi all, we are a family of 5 (from Australia) and were wanting to know what our options are when it comes to getting from JFK airport to the ship. We are doing a cruise in June with Royal Caribbean. I am aware that RC can organise transfers and if I have I will use it but would like to know if there are alternatives. Any suggestions please?

Hi guys can you tell me how you found this special offer? I cannot find it anywhere other than in the blogs or here on the board.

Can somebody please tell me the advantages of platinum membership. Reading the website there are pages and pages but very little "real" advantages. I know with Princess we got some internet time on my last cruise.

Hi all, I am also very confused. Some places describes the 4 dining rooms as all having basically the same menu with a small section on the menu where they offer something different. Other places I have read it described as all totally different and serving different cuisines altogether with a small section on the menu offering a few of the same basic items. So I am still confused. If we are MTD can we not book at Chic and The Grande? Also, is there still a classic formal night?

Thanks for the info!

Hi, this is our first time doing this itinerary and I was wanting to know from people that have done some of these stops before what they would suggest/recommend we do there - Kings Wharf Bermuda, Phillipsburg St Maarten and San Juan Puerto Rico. Is it a possiblity to go to a beach?

We did a private tour with TJ Tours and could not have been happier. There were 4 of us and we had a brand new Mercedes van with driver and guide who spoke perfect English. We did not have to pay a deposit and they sent us tickets via email to get us through customs. When we got to the other side our guide was waiting for us. We planned our own itinerary and they took us everywhere we wanted plus more. We wanted to see how the locals lived and went to the food market, the underground and the oldest food store in the city. We also went to local restaurants for lunch both days. When we were picked up on the 2nd day our guide took us to here local supermarket as she knew we were interested in seeing how she lived. We did not have to pay anything until the 2nd morning when we went to a souvenir shop to pay the TJ representative. There was no pressure to buy anything and we continued on our sightseeing day. We had early entry to the Hermitage and our guide showed us the highlights. There were hardly any other people there and that in itself made it worth doing a private tour. We had an amazing 2 days in this beautiful city and it was mainly due to the organisation and people skills of this company.
Hi there. We are also from Australia and going in May on the Baltics cruise, I am trying to organise some tours and I have just read your review and it sounds amazing. Do you remember what you paid for the tour and who was your contact at TJ? Many thanks

We were in A343, an inside.
This was one of the smoothest rides I've had on a ship. The two days before Hong Kong were rough, but even that was manageable without meds. I did not feel anything at all the rest of the time.
I am not as susceptible to seasickness as I once was, but I still have to be prepared. This ship was no problem at all.
Hi. We are also in an inside cabin on Aloha deck and I wanted to ask you if you noticed a hairdryer in the cabin or should we bring our own?

It took about an hour and 15 minutes to reach our first stop at the Batu Caves. At the entrance you have a large gold statue of the Hindu Lord Murugan. The cliffs surrounding the caves are all limestone. When the Thaipusam Festival is held in January or February, about one million visitors will come to the caves. A Google search showed me that it's happening next year on January 23, so those of you on the January 22 sailing that might have been planning to visit the caves might want to remember this. I think the festival would be pretty spectacular to see, but just think about the traffic and the limited time you will have.
We have arrived at the Batu Caves.
That's a long way up. Ladies, you must have on long pants or you will be required to rent a wrap. They have them available at the bottom of the stairs. The cost is RM5 and you will receive RM2 back when you return it.
No exercise? Like the 272 steps up here weren't enough. lol
Hi there, I have enjoyed reading your review and wanted to know if you would be kind enough to pass on Zaidee's email details. We are leaving in a week on a cruise and will be stopping in Port Kelang and would love to go to the Batu caves. Do you recommend it as a choice for the day? Many thanks, Shelley

We've booked and paid for the three night dining package online for what sounds like the same cruise that you are on. It is a bit confusing as you have to nominate your first speciality dining night on either the first or second day but it doesn't allow you to select a restaurant. I'm not particularly worried as we will get it sorted out when we embark. Can't wait to get on board! Probably see you around if you're also sailing on the 4th April!
Hi there! Thanks for the reply. I think we will wait and book on the first day - I wanted to know if you could choose 2 of the same restaurant....probably not. Anyway I will wait and see, they may even have specials as somebody suggested. We were on Radiance of the seas a couple of years ago and got a 4 package and loved it. They had Samba grill which I don't think Voyager has. All great. Looking forward to the cruise and yes will see you there! Have you joined the roll call?

We are going to Fiji and South Pacific in April on Voyager and I wanted to know if you prebook a dining package ( e.g 3 night dining package) do you choose which restaurants you want? It does not explain it very well on line, would it be better to wait till day1 when they are selling the packages? Any recommendations? Thanks . Shelley.

We will be arriving in Corfu on a Sunday and were hoping to go to Glyfada Beach. What would be the best way to get there? If anybody has done this from the Port please give us some advise. Thanks

We are arriving into Venice on Nieuw Amsterdam and would like to know what is the best way to get from the Port, with luggage, to the train station where we will be getting a train to Florence?

Does anybody know how many formal nights there are on a 12 night med cruise and would you need to be formal if you chose one of the restaurants instead of the main dining room? We are travelling before and after the cruise and my husband does not want to take the suit and shoes for 2 nights. What are our options if we don't dress in formal wear?
