I can only say I had great experiences! Had many massages and facials on different NCL ships. Yes there were some, where I had better before, but as well on my last cruise on the Pearl the best treatments I have ever received. It is totally up to the Therapist and I tell them up front not to do the sales call, since i use better products then they have in the spa anyhow.

NCL Majesty, NCL Sea, NCL Dream, NCL Wind, NCL Sky, NCL Sun, NCL Star/Dawn, Celebrity Mercury, Cunard QE2, Cunard QM2, Holland America's Ryndam...hope I didn't forgett one...:)!!!

It was the Norwegian Sea!!! But somehow we all loved that ship! We had the best time on there and it was the best crew...I just wished you could get once that crew being together like we had on her!

By the way is crazy Scott Hamby the HD of the POA???

Maybe you are the best one to ask. Some people say that crew members like to receive phone cards and chocolate bars etc. along with thier tips of course. What do you say? What do crew members like to receive along with their tips, or over and above their regular tips?:confused:

LOL...I would have accepted not to upset the Guest, but to be honest the crew can buy themselfes everything in the crew bar or on land. It is not the Dschungle in Africa! Everybody works for money and nothing else!

LOL...there are also better cabins for crew then Ohiocruiser has shown on here. It depends to your status and rank! There are ships where you even share by 9 a cabin and bathrooms are shared by over 100 people...just think about that! NCL has very good Crew Cabins!

Then I have been on the Wind/Dream Class ships where there are Officers Cabins bigger then the best suite for the Guests.

I have just sailed in 9212, I have to say it was one of the cutest Suites I have ever sailed in (even done the Garden Villas 3 times)! The suites are all as good as the same, I have seen them all. The 2 Suites (AB on Deck 10) forward on the side are actually old Owner's Suites and feature the same as the actually Owner's Suites with the 2 Balconies. The AD are a bit smaller (by a closet location) then the AC, but ahve the double of size balcony! The Ameneties are all the same in all Suites, except the AA get the free liquor bottles. The current Concierge of the Spirit (Lisa) is the best you can find in the fleet together with Ruth on the Pearl!

Maxi The Butler, was responible for my Garden Villa on the Jewel...and he was the best I had so far, too!

America has NO sauna culture like the Europeans have and even if it is separated I have seen guys going in clothes...YES in shoes and shorts and shirt...into the Sauna. In Europe it is the most normal thing to be naked in front of each other, but NOT in the US. That is the reason it is mostly seperated. I had a good laugh, when I was the first time in the Sauna over in the US, but after living many years over here I like it seperated myself.

On HAL as well as Celebrity is always a Sauna (no charge) in the locker room, but the full facility (different Saunas and Steam Rooms) is for charge and mixed up with man and women.
