  1. Funny thing is they got one of them but not the other in the same bag.

This is the first report I have seen with someone being caught while using a rumrunner. Can you tell us what size, how it was packed, what was in it, did they return it at the end, how did they miss the second one. Did you have other prohibited or suspicious items in the bag, such as an iron? Details please. Inquiring minds want to know!!

Same here. I've been reading hundreds of posts about RumRunners over the last three years and this is very first I've ever heard of .

I'd love to hear the details.

  2. Why don't you just buy pints, bubble wrap and then zipock bag them and put inside checked bags.

Never had a problem since 2004.....

Because, while you "say" you've never been caught, Rum Runners have a 100% success rate according to everything I've experienced personally and read on CC! And the "naughty room" contains bottles of liquor, mouthwash bottles, medicine bottles and other antiquated means of smuggling liquor aboard a cruise ship! But not Rum Runners! .... that'd be why! :D

  3. It's meringue-topped to about half a foot tall, homemade fresh every day, and easily serves two. Beyond this, it is something akin to marvelous, something that at lasts matches up to its reputation.

People, throw away the meringue and whipped cream! Eat it naked for the full flavor. And God forbid, ditch the nuts! My late Miami Grandmother would roll over in her grave if I ever ate a pie this way!!!!! Just a Florida boy's opinion.:D

  4. What a mission - Finding the best Key Lime Pie in KW. Everyone is right. Each place seriousely has the best Key Lime Pie, because they are really all damn tasty. Not to mention the Key Lime cookies and ice cream. Tthe better restaurants all make their own, and on our last trip (Feb '07) We sampled Kermits, Key Lime Pie Factory, as well as some served at resataurants. Our only preferance is a dollup of whipped cream rather than meringue.

You are so right! Try 'em all. The only Key Lime pies I won't eat are the green ones!:D It's a Florida thing!!!!
