The port of Falmouth is pretty well protected it is mostly fenced in. When we did a tour outside the port gates it was a little scary. This was last year.

I agree with the previous reply and also consider the amount of sea days on your cruise. When we couldn’t fine lounge chairs in the sun by the pool and rec areas we were able to lay out in the sun on our balcony.

This last trip Jan 6 2018 is the first time we didn’t buy insurance( I cheaped out.) we had a blizzard 2 days before our flight and sweated out our flight being canceled. Our flight was the first flight on time since the airport was closed. So stressful. Not worth the worry. Buy the insurance you never know what can happen.

As long as you are flexible with dates I would consider RC or Celebrity. We just got back from a 4 night Cruise to Cozumel from Miami on Celebrity Equinox . $299 per person balcony room (partially obstructed lifeboat below foot level) with $175 Cabin Credit. This was considered a slow travel week Jan 6-10th but was a great affordable cruise with the Celebrity touch.
