  1. I get the message, "Unable to locate the booking with the information provided."

I have triple-tripled check each entry... booking number, name, birthdate, etc. and it is all correct.

Speaking of booking number... we have 2 rooms but each room lists a different number for "booking" number.  Why isn't the booking one number for all of us?

Also, what is a folio number?

    THANKS!

Bev any updates on itinerary?  Now 12:30P EST on the19th.

I can understand people being upset by changes in itinerary especially if it cuts into your vacation plans.  However, not much more Carnival can do but keep you informed and let you know your options.

Those going, enjoy the shortened cruise.

If you go to your account on Carnival.com, you will see the update.  I forgot what it is, but we only have 1 same port, 1 deleted port, and 1 changed port (Mexico).

Carnival did state they will reimburse for the 2 days or the full cruise if canceled. It's very disappointing they add an extra day to the cruise sailing before ours, but then decide to shorten or cancel the 6/22 cruise. I was told to just "book" another cruise if it's canceled. Obviously Carnival does not understand most people have jobs and a lot of planning goes into vacations. We cannot just change our vacation to another week. I will never book another cruise with Carnival again. I understand things happen but the way they speak to their customers is uncalled for. Extremely disappointed our vacation is on the verge of being canceled and told to just wait it out....

It's due to a propulsion issue... beyond their control.

  4. DH booked with 35-hour sale and our rooms are 3 rooms apart. One of our rooms is an adjoining (but not to another room in our party).

What are the chances that I can get the room that adjoins one of our rooms?

I actually just called Carnival and they said I would need to call the travel agent DH used.

  5. Well, yes, and make sure you don't hyphenate.

DH can never remember my "legal" name (which is hyphenated: maiden-married) and books me under married name only. Passport and DL are both in legal, hyphenated name. Will we have any issues (it's too late to change any documentation but perhaps we can change reservation to reflect legal name?)

A note....when she DOES change her name, put her maiden name as her middle name....that bridges any "gaps" in identification. So, if she's Mary Lou Smith, and marries Bobby Jones, she should list her name as Mary Smith Jones. Saves a TON of hassle!

If your cruise sails to Glacier Bay, perhaps your ship will offer a certificate for swimming while sailing there. Here's what the folks who earned that on our cruise last summer looked like (the staff threw real glacier ice fished from the water into the pool -- but do look at how the ship's staff and the other passengers are dressed!:

The covered pool always did brisk business and seemed to be well-heated, however. I'd make sure your ship has a covered pool in Alaska if that's your priority.

  7. Please keep in mind that by now the original poster has probably already taken the cruise.

Yes, that may be true. But I haven't taken mine yet! Am glad to read and comment on this thread instead of re-posting same.
