  1. They have to warn you. I just got done cruising for two weeks all over the affected area and I never once saw one bug or heard one person say anything about mosquitos. Stay near shores with moving water and you will be fine. If you look up statistics on cruisers getting bit you will see only one person ever has gotten Zika on a cruise ship and it was an 80 year old man.

  2. Just off the independence of the seas yesterday. Drink package is the way to go. In the cafe promenade I got vitamin water, Gatorade, lattes and water bottles. At the bar I tried all kinds of things. One of my new favorites is called "goombay smash" it's rum, triple sec, pineapple and orange juice (I think). Also you can use the package at dinner and after dinner for a latte or espresso with dessert. I think it's the way to go.

I have a yeti it's amazing!! But we also found RTIC , they did a test (you tube videos) and they are just as good for half the price. We now own every size and the Coosies!

Get the Coosies! Your beer (can or bottle) stays ice cold till the last sip!

  4. Iam in the process of panning out details and I emailed the girl back all of the songs I wanted and she never responded I finally sent another message and her response. " yes I got you email I will make note, we will have another phone call meeting sometime in January". Okay so you couldn't have said that before? And when in January... well it's the 13th and I haven't heard a thing. My wedding is Feb 8th.

Iam laid back so it's really not a huge deal but boy if I was someone else they would have an ear full by now. I was gunna call Monday but it's MLK day I bet they won't be open [emoji21].

  5. The ship's crew was outstanding, and they did everything they could to accomodate us, however the fact that plans were not relayed properly to the ship caused the bride and groom to miss most of the reception.

Do you remember how your daughter transported her dress? I don't travel a lot with such important things as a wedding dress. Iam guessing I'll carry it on? I just can't afford for it to get lost

  6. I remember reading a blog that said on port days it's open and they feed the kids lunch and stuff.on sea days they close during meal times and you pick them up to feed them. So this makes me say yes they are open.

5 is a rough age as far as shopping and patience goes, I totally get it. If my 7 year old didn't like snorkeling so much we would prob opt to have a kids free day at a port also.

  7. Thought we would add more info to help the OP. Here is a link to a highly rated product (similar to what we use...but not the exact product) that would solve the OP's issue.

  8. We have tried several kinds and we tested them before we left. Some waterproof pouches leaked! Bummer. :( As it turns out, a small zipper baggie might do the trick and my hubby just puts it inside the velcro pocket of his swim trunks. Cheap, easy, convenient. Double-bagging pretty much assures your items won't get wet but even if they do, cash dries out. ;):D

Thanks for al the great advice. I see some on amazon that get 5 star reviews and are not too much. Worth a try I guess. My fiancé (will be husband after cruise #1) will be snorkeling non stop and I don't wanna be left behind haha

  9. It's been a lot of back and forth. I was nervous because they didn't any pictures of the wedding locations except for one. Do you remember if if the ship crew were accommodating or helpful? Even though the royal romance coordinators were not good at communicating?

  10. Iam doing mine in labadee, not sure if anyone else did and if they have a review on it??? Also I have a group of 20 people and I was going to seat everyone together in the dining room... will they place my two tables of 10 next to each other? How good are they at accommodating for groups?
